there's a dream in my brain that just won't go away !it's been stuck there since it came a few nights ago. . .
When the morning first hit had always been Holly's favorite time of the day. Even back when she was just a little kid, and wasn't even supposed to be up at that time because no one else in her house was, she was always up, and staring out her window, just hoping for a glimpse of that lovely sunrise. The morning was the only time she didn't make so much noise...the only time she could stand not talking. Really, the only time she didn't mind being alone. Of course she'd take the company if offered, but she didn't mind being alone. Everything was just so much more beautiful in the morning...everything. At least to Holly.
She always woke up at four in the morning, on an off day, and this day was no exception. She woke up at about three thirty-one, before her alarm clock even had a chance to chirp at her in it's delicate little alarm clock voice. of course only Holly could call the annoying ringing of an alarm clock delicate...but she rather enjoyed the noise. It was considered a shame that she woke herself up, rather than getting to listen to the sound of it ringing in her ear. She never was the type to use her phone as an alarm clock, or to set her alarm clock so the radio played. She loved the annoying beep that most others hated with such a passion.
She woke up with her eyes shining, and her hair a mess as it usually was when she first woke up. She knew what she wanted to do that morning; go to the park. It was her favorite place ever, pretty much. Back home the park was her favorite place, too, so it wasn't because it was particularly special, this park. She threw on some clothes, didn't bother to shower yet, threw on some shoes, and headed out the door. No fixing of the hair, no make-up added into the mix. And yet she still didn't look half bad, you had to admit that...some might even say she looked good.
Due to the fact that she was deathly afraid of driving she was stuck walking. Not that she was stuck in her opinion...she loved walking. It gave her more of a chance to feel things; the air, the noises, everything she liked to feel. And she liked to feel everything. The good, the bad, the in between. Everything was worth feeling, in her opinion, even if others didn't think so.
When she got to the park it was only about half past three, and she was still just as happy as before. But she was always happy, there was nothing new about her happiness. Most would think she wore her feeling on her sleeve...but she didn't. Not in the least. Instead she buried them deep in fake happiness, but that's not to say she was always upset. No, she was usually happy, but when she was upset she tried her hardest to bury it. And even though she'd never admit it, all she wants is someone to look past her little sham.
She looked around the park, taking in the air through her nose, and hearing the almost complete silence into her mind. It was a good noise, a very good one, even if she was so foreign to it most of the time. She started to walk, with her eyes still closed, and tripped over her own feet, falling down. "oops!" She said, aloud, laughing a little bit for some unknown reason. She wasn't hurt, or anything, and yet she stayed on the ground just looking around, smiling.

You're the voice I hear inside my head... The reason that I'm singing..
[/b] Bored.. bored.. Bored. He hated not having anything to do. Practise was canceled for a funeral. So he couldn't go throw the pigskin around. And then his brothers decided to go off and shop, but they wouldn't tell him for what. He hated them sometimes. Always scheming behind his back, those little traitors. He stopped at the sight of a few birds on the edge of the park fountain, and watched them. He could draw that, right? Eh, what was the use. They wouldn't stay still long enough. They weren't human, so they didn't take commands very well. He paused to stare at them a moment longer, but when he took a step closer they all fluttered away in fear.
It seemed that happened a lot to Will lately.
First, Cassie dumped him for that slick kid he used to call a friend... Was he even worthy of being named. Without him being able to stop it, the name Devon slipped into his mind, and he felt like breaking something. He couldn't believe that his best friend would just go behind his back like that and... - Hearing the laugh, he half expected someone to be laughing at him because he was staring off in space. However, he'd not noticed the girl who fell just on the other side of the fountain. When he saw her feet, he blinked. That was probably the strangest thing he'd saw all day... aside from that weird shaped peice of meat on his spaghetti at lunch.
Approaching the legs, he found the rest of the body, which made him laugh because she didn't appear hurt. No, she was just laying there. "Do you need help up, or would you perfer to stare at the cracks of the pavement?" He raised a brow inquisitively for a moment, and then crouched when he got to her face, tipping his head down to look at her. "Because I don't think the ground is really that funny, myself." He smiled. He recognized her. She definately went to the academy. Though he'd probably not even ever spoke to her before.
Didn't mean he couldn't now. "The names Will.. and you are?" he added, extending a hand as he stood back up to lift her from the pavement. She was a beautiful girl, with long blonde hair. He had a weakness for long blonde hair. Smiling that same charming smile, he brushed his hair from his face and waited. OOC: ehhh Status: Complete.. but not my best I think.. Ideas: Hmm.. what do you think?

there's a dream in my brain that just won't go away !it's been stuck there since it came a few nights ago. . .
Holly soon found she couldn't stop laughing for some strange reason...actually, it wasn't all that strange. She got like that often...well, all the time, really. She wasn't really immature, she just liked to laugh, and have fun and...well, maybe she could be a bit immature, most of the time...but she knew when to shut up and be mature. Kind of. She wouldn't just start laughing at a funeral, or anything of the sort. She knew that anyone around her probably thought she was completely insane...but she just couldn't stop laughing. She wasn't completely surprised when someone walked over to her...although she was surprised when he actually started talking to her, and when he crouched down. She found most people tended to stay away from her when she was being..well, when she was being Holly.
"Help up with be great."She said, forcing herself to stop giggling. It was a lot easier when she was talking to someone. "The grounds not really funny...actually, I have no clue what I'm laughing at, to be honest." She took his hand, and stood up, brushing her pants off, even though they weren't really dirty, or anything. She tucked a lock of her hair behind an ear, then glanced at him, wearing her almost ever present smile on her face. "I'm Holly-Lynn. You can call me Holly. Actually, please call me holly...I hate the Lynn. It's to meet you."
Usually she was the type to hug someone as a way of greeting, but lately she'd been forcing herself not to...especially not when it was strangers, or people she knew didn't like her much. The last time she'd done it the person had pushed her away not so nicely, and so she decided not to try it with this guy...even if he was cute. Very, cute, actually. His hair was long, but she'd always liked long hair on guys...as long as it wasn't too long, and his wasn't. She realized she was kind of staring at him, and so she laughed and looked away, hoping he hadn't really noticed. Not that she really minded...she tended not to care so much what people thought of her.
"Do you go to the Academy?" She asked, in her blunt childish way she asked most things. A question popped into her mind, and she would ask it...no matter how stupid of a question it was. She knew she'd seen him from somewhere before, even if she hadn't actually talked to him...and he looked to be about her age, give or take a few years, so it seemed a very valid question.

Will stared at her as she pulled herself up with his help, and then smiled. She didn't really have anything on her, but it was good that she had that on her mind. It was nitpicky thing about Will. He couldn't stand to see someone with lint or something all over their clothing, and they didn't seem to care. It really bothred him. Brushing his hair out of his face again, he gave a sigh. It was getting rather annoying and too much a hassle these days. He wished he could just hack it all off.. but his mom told him he had to wait until Wednesday...
Which.. was in about 4 days. Maybe that wouldn't be too bad of a wait. He grinned at her name. It was pretty, and somewhat unique. She was the first girl he'd actually met that was named Holly. Besides the fact, she was pretty, and it matched her well. He smiled down at her and gave her hand a gentle shake, dropping his from it just moments after that. "Yeah, I don't really have a specified selection though... I like to take a little from everything.. I do believe I'm more musically inclined with my brothers though.."
Speaking of the devils.. he'd not seen them for the majority of the day.
"So, did you fall, or were you just looking for something?" he asked, still curious as to how she ended up on the ground. She had long legs.. with their help, it was likely she tripped over them. Not that he was making fun of her either, because he fell over himself all the time. Take football as an example; just weeks ago, he tripped before scoring his touch down. Imagine the consequences if he'd tripped at 75 yards. Sheesh, that would have destroyed the play. Hooking his thumbs in his jeans, he stared down at his nikes and blinked.
Well, maybe she had something planned. Or maybe not?

She nodded a little bit, not surprised that he went to the same school she did, and that she hadn't talked to him. It was, after all, a big school, with quite a few students. Then again, Holly was known for walking up to random people and talking to them. That was actually how she'd met a majority of the people she knew... "I do music." She said, smiling a little bit. It was kind of odd to her that he didn't really lean towards one thing more than the other. But the fact that he did anything with music made her like him already...she found she could get along with most music students. Well, maybe some of them found her annoying, but she usually liked them...even if the feelings weren't really all that mutual. "You have brothers? that's cool. I have one brother, my twin brother, Luke." She shrugged a little bit. She kind of missed her brother, but he was back home, in New York. There wasn't much she could do about that...he wasn't exactly talented in visual or preforming arts. No, not at all.
"I fell." She said, giggling a little bit. Her giggle sounded something like a small child who just found a jar of cookies within their reach. "I fall quite a bit, though. My legs are pretty long, even if I'm not exactly the tallest person ever. Plus I don't really look where I'm going...so it's either look at my feet and slam into someone, or look up and fall on the ground. Either way I usually end up falling." Of course rambles like the ones she had just done where completely normal to Holly...and she usually did them without even taking a breath. Some people had trouble keeping up with her in conversation, as she jumped from subject to subject so quickly, but other people liked it. She was almost always firing off questions, which gave them something to talk about. Even if her questions were asked too quickly to actually be answered thoroughly.
"How old are you? You don't look too much older than me. I'm a Junior. What are you?" She looked up at him, looking curious. Even though he wasn't exactly tall, compared to some guys, he wasn't short, either. Holly wasn't particularly attracted to overly tall guys...6'4, or anything like that, was just too tall in her opinion.

Well she certainly liked to talk. But then again so did he. Well when he was with people other then family. Only his brothers and more closely related family members knew of his soft side. He gave her a grin as she rambled on about her legs, and then jerked himself to attention at her questions.. "I'm a senior.. and I'm 18.." He spoke slowly so she caught it and then offered a soft laugh. "Don't worry about talking too much.. it doesn't really bother me.."
He turned on his heel to look into the fountain water, his reflection rippled as a few birds flew from the other side, bathing. Pulling out what cents he had in his pocket, he fingered the penny fondly. Not because he liked copper or anything, but because it reminded him of a few sayings his grandma used to share.. Penny's were worth something. It was a reminder that with some hard work and some counting, you could have a whole dollar. Then, once you accomplished that, lord only knows what kind of patience you'd have.
He snickered, and then flicked the penny into the water, inhaling slowly. He made a silent wish with the nod of his head, and then offered her a penny. "Well you may as well make a wish now." It wasn't as big as it would be in the fountain of "trevi" in Italy.. but it was well worth a try. Why not, it could be fun. He smiled softly and dropped the rest of his change back into his pocket, and sat down on the stone bench that inprisoned the water inside, and stared at his feet. "I'm bored.. but I can't think of anything to do.." he muttered, and looked up at her. Did she had any ideas?

there's a dream in my brain that just won't go away !it's been stuck there since it came a few nights ago. . .
She was glad that he didn't seem to mind her talking...she knew from experience how badly it could annoy people. But she couldn't exactly stop...it was pretty much a habit by this time in her life. Even when she was around people she knew didn't like her, or at least they didn't like the fact that she never stopped talking,s he still found herself talking at a mile an hour, about nothing of great importance.
She took the penny he offered without hesitation, after watching him make his own wish, and looked thoughtful for a moment. What exactly was there for her to wish about? She couldn't think of anything...most people she knew just wished for money, or something along those lines. But those kind of wishes never really came true...and so instead as she tossed it into the well she decided to just wish for something a bit more practical. She wished that she would get to see her brother soon. Of course she knew she would...not soon enough, maybe, but fairly soon all the same. Christmas vacation wasn't exactly far away.
She watched him sit down, and a smile appeared on her face. "Welll...you could take a walk with me. Or play hop scotch." While saying her lovely little list she was kind of bouncing around. ""Or you could offer to take me to get some coffee. Or you could jump in the fountain and give me something to laugh about...or you could just sit there and be bored for the rest of your life." She giggled a little bit, then stopped bouncing and looked at him.

Will stared at her as she continued on with whatever it was she was doing.. he couldn't really place a finger on it, but it was fascinating, none the less. He smiled as she sat down next to him, and listened for a moment as she layed some ideas down for him. Well he certainly didn't want to be bored for the rest of his life. He snickered.. Why not do all of those things? First, they could play hop scotch.. He didn't know how, so she'd have to teach him.. Secondly, they could dance in the fountain.. go on a walk to dry off, and then get coffee.. He smiled at his idea and nodded..
"Okay.. aside from suffering for the rest of my life.. we can do all of those things.. Teach me how to play..." He stood up slowly and pulled his jacket from his shoulders, laying it carefully on the edge of the fountain so it didn't fall. His long sleeved shirt fit him rather well, though he wasn't one to flaunt off his physique, it was obvious he had one. He let his arms hand loosely by his side and smiled at her.. "Ready when you are coach." He really had no idea about hopscotch.. but wasn't it that game that little kids played..
With the rock.. and chalk? OH he had no idea.. but maybe it would be fun..

Holly had to admit she was very much surprised at his answer. Most people usually just looked at her with a look that plainly said are you insane? when she acted like that...which was most of the time. She was also very glad, though. It was bound to be fun, and the fact that this guy agreed to it just proved that he was a fun guy. maybe they could even become friends! Oh, Holly loved friends. New friends are always so much fun.
"Okay! Yay! This is going to be so much fun! We're going to have fun. Do you have chalk? we need chalk." She said it in a completely serious way, as though she truly thought everyone on earth carried chalk around with them all the time, and that it just so happened she had forgotten her magical chalk at home. Not that she usually did carry chalk around...actually, she hadn't even played hopscotch in years...well, months, actually, as a few months ago she'd seen some little kids playing, and decided to join them. She'd definitely gotten a few dirty looks from those children's mothers, but she hadn't actually noticed. She had a good time...until their mother told them it was time to leave.
She giggled a little bit, at being called coach. She kind of wished she had a whistle...or something. Don't coaches usually have whistles?

Will blinked and looked around them for a moment, desperately looking for chalk like it'd just appear out of thin air.. Then he saw two girls.. with a jumprope.. and.. chalk.. He smiled and walked towards them, holding up a finger to signal for Holly to give him a minute. After jumproping with them for a minute, failing miserably at double dutch, he won a peice of chalk and a few giggles as he hoisted his pants back up and walked towards her. "Okay.. chalk.." Handing it to her, he laughed.. "And yes... I used to be able to jumprope like that.." he added, looking at the two girls who were trying to convince one of their mothers to join in.
He sighed.. "Okay.. draw away.." he added, putting his hands on his hips and smiling. As she worked, he blinked. It was strange, how goofy she was, but he kind of liked it. She was cute.. and beautiful all at the same time. He couldn't help but grin at her. He watched her flaxen hair fall around her shoulders as she skipped around, connecting lines with other lines to slowly form the hop scotch boxes. He nodded in approval at her work, and sighed.
"Okay.. you go first.." he added, picking up a rock close to the fountain and handing it to her. She was rather tiny.. he felt like hugging her.. but feared it because she was so tiny he may just crush her.. Okay well he wasn't that big.. but he was strong.. and that would most likely hurt her. He ran a hand through his hair and bit his lip, watching her get ready. God he'd not done anything like this in a long time.. He felt like a kid again..

there's a dream in my brain that just won't go away !it's been stuck there since it came a few nights ago. . .
Holly couldn't help but giggle as she watched him jump rope. It was kind of ironic that just as they needed some chalk a few little girls had some, but she was glad. Hopscotch was always fun! Even if she got bored of it quickly, due to her incredibly short attention span. "You gots skillz." she said, when he came back, taking the chalk from him. She really did enjoy hanging out with him, she knew that even if they hadn't been hanging out for very long at all. He was funny, and he was nice, and he was cute, and he didn't seen to mind the fact that she probably acted like some kind of five year old who downed a couple energy drinks right after a long nap.
She then started drawing the hop scotch boxes. She hadn't done it in a long time, and yet she felt like a pro as she did her duty, all bouncing and giggly. Once she was done drawing the boxes she put the numbers in, even though they weren't really nessesary, she felt as though it was. The numbers were what made the game, even if they didn't actually do anything...well, at least in Holly's little world.
"Okay, it's easy." She said, taking the rock from him. Her eyes were shining with excitement, as though they were about to go sky diving, and not just play the same game five year olds played every day at recess. "You throw the rock...not hard though. You don't want to hit someone with it, trust me. They're usually kind of mean if you do." She shrugged a bit, as though she truly didn't understand why anyone would dislike being hit with a rock, and tossed the rock, as it landed on the number four. "And then you just do this...but you have to skip over the number the rock lands on..." She then did the hop scotch thing, skipping over the number four, of course. She didn't want to lose! When she reached the end she spun around, giggling like a small child. "See! It's easy. and now I go back, and you have to pick up the rock, and still skip over it...and I'll just show you." she did exactly as she'd instructed, bending over to pick up the rock, and clapped as she had completed the task at hand. "Your turn!" She said, holding the rock out to him.

He'd never really ever grasped this game. It looked impossible to him.. but then again, this was the kid who got kicks from drawing x's and o's for football plays in his free time. He took the rock after watching her demonstrate twice, and shook his head.. "Okay.. but don't laugh at me.." Throwing the rock gently, he watched it skip to the 6.. "Oh.. snap.. okay.. so I just.. hop to that one.. but don't step on the rock, or what?" OH he was so lost..
He hated games that he couldn't understand.
It was like that "break the ice" game from way back when. He never won. His brothers always murdered him. And that battle ship game, with the noises.. he sucked at that too. He sighed and hopped towards the number his rock hand landed on, but hesitated, and stopped on the five, waiting for her to tell him if he should put his foot on the 6, or what. Oh he hated this.. he'd much better perfer to be teaching her how to throw a football.. actually, he could do that.. and he could be close to her.
It'd been a rather long time since he'd even held a girl.. or dated.. or.. Kissed a girl. He looked back at her, balancing on one foot and waited, his eyes stuck on her face. God she was gorgeous.. even though she had that goofy grin.. He liked it.. she was like a warm summer day on the beach.. a refreshing difference from day to day life.. And why did he just want to kiss her? [/blockquote]

there's a dream in my brain that just won't go away !it's been stuck there since it came a few nights ago. . .
She couldn't help but giggle a little bit. He was actually confused by a game invented for small children...probably invented by small children, as well. She wasn't laughing at him, or trying to be mean, or anything, she just found it amusing. "No, you just hop over the rock. You skip that square. It's easy." She looked around, already growing bored. She'd forgotten how boring hop scotch could be...and she kind of felt like she epically failed at teaching him how to play. "Hey, we can just forget it, and do something else, if you want. Hop scotch is kinda boring." She pouted, then giggled. She really did giggle too much...but she wasn't the kind of person who forced herself not to laugh. Instead she preferred to let it all out...well, not all of it. She never really showed when she was upset. Instead she always acted happy...well, almost always. Once you got to know her there was a chance you would see her upset...but only if you did something to hurt her.
"Hey, we could play in the fountain now!" She said, her voice sounding excited. She was pretty much bouncing with excitement. Of course only Holly would actually want to do that. She was certainly different than most girls her age...she didn't care that her hair may get wet, or anything. If she had done anything special to it she probably would, but it was just down, like it always was. No big deal, or anything. "come onnn!" She said, bouncing over to him and grabbing his hand, tugging on it. She didn't even think about it, or anything...but she wasn't exactly the type to wonder if she was invading the poor guy's personal space, or anything of the sort.

He dropped his foot onto the one after the 6, and shook his head.. Well now he felt dumb.. but he didn't play games like this.. nor had he ever.. He pouted when she seemed bored by this.. "Okay.. uhh.." But then she was talking about the fountain.. "Right.. right.. okay.." When she dove for his hand, he let her grab it, hopping along behind her as he pulled off his shoes.. No way was he letting those 160 dollar nikes get soaked.. Rolling up his jeans, he stepped into the water behind her, and laughed.. "Oh.. penny.." He slid towards her and laughed, falling onto the bench.. He got his hand wet and slung water at her, getting up to hide on the other side of the statue..
He'd not felt this good in ages.. even when he was like this with his brothers. He sighed softly, leaning against the naked lady between them, and shook his head laughing. "You know.. I haven't had this much fun since I was a kid.. not even with my brothers.. I should spend more time with you.. I'd be in better shape.." He turned and pressed his chest against the fountain statue, looking at her through the arm.. "So.. do you always seduce boys by playing in the fountain with them.. or is it just their fault they see a pretty girl.."
Okay.. so if it wasn't more obvious, he was flirting..
He sighed softly and let his arms rest on the fountain's hips, blinking.. Well it wasn't every day he met a girl he got this well along with.. but he loved it.. and it was slightly scary for him.. He wanted to know her better.. to.. spend more time with her.. He laughed, and dove her her, slipping on the multitude of coins at the bottom.. "Ahh!" he fell again, the bottoms of his jeans getting wet as he caught himself.. "See.. I'm already falling for you.." he made a joke..
But could he be serious?

there's a dream in my brain that just won't go away !it's been stuck there since it came a few nights ago. . .
Holly dragged him over to the statue, giggling the whole way, and pretty much skipping rather than walking. She was having so much fun...of course she got kicks out of doing simple things like this, but she was truly having fun. She was already considering this guy she'd met not too long ago a friend...maybe even a good friend. That was how she was, though, if she met someone who didn't act like they hated her, she considered them a friend. Of course those people usually ended up getting annoyed of her, and telling her to leave them alone, but she was hoping Will wouldn't be like that.
She slipped off her shoes, then got in, her normal playful smile lighting up her face. She sat herself down onto the bench, and giggled. "Hey!" She said, as the water hit her, but she was still giggling. A little water never hurt anyone. She turned around to look at him through the arm of the statue, wearing a smile on her face. She was glad that he was having as much fun as her...and glad that he seemed to want to hang out with her again. She definitely wanted to hang out with him again, that was for sure.
"I'm glad you're having fun." She said, flashing him one of her smiles. Her smiles were never really half done, even when they were just the small ones..unless, of course, she was upset and faking it, but even then she was pretty good at faking it, so most couldn't tell she was. "I haven't had anyone to have this much fun with in forever. Most teenagers don't like my kind of fun." It was true...she was more into the kind of fun five year olds liked. Like stupid cartoons, and coloring books, and board games. "Well, I don't always use a fountain." She said, smiling a little bit. She could tell he was flirting...but she didn't mind, not at all. She was actually a bit of a compulsive flirt, so she considered it kind of odd that he was flirting with her, not the other way around. But that didn't mean she wasn't going to flirt back. "Only special guys get seduction by fountain."
She couldn't help but giggle at the whole falling for you thing. It was so corny, and yet it sounded sweet coming out of his mouth. "I've never heard anyone say that..other than on cheesy romance movies. Then again, I guess I've never had anyone fall for me." She said it in a teasing way.
