Will sat on the hard stone bench around the fountain and watched her, shaking his head. "Nah.. I guess you got the wrong guy then.." he added, squinting as he looked up, scanning the courtyard around them as the little girls departed with their jumprope and chalk.. "I'm not special.. really.. I'm just Will.." He stood up slowly and looked over at her, smirking.. "But what better name than to use with the phrase.. "When there's a will, there's a way.." He laughed softly and looked down at her. He'd not noticed how small she was compared to him until standing within such close perimiter. He sighed softly and stopped infront of her, his eyes glancing sideways..
"But.. I'm glad I noticed you fell.. I wouldn't have learned hop scotch, and I'd never had gotten the opportunity to take a beautiful blonde with a bubbly attitude to get some starbucks.." He gave her a charming smile and looked down at his bare feet under the rippling water, the reflection on his tanned flesh from the sunlight making a dappled pattern flash across his skin. He gently touched her shoulder to steady himself as he stepped over the bench and wall, and stopped on the concrete, looking up at her.. "Come on.. I've got you.." he added, knowing the tile on the inside was slippery, just as the coins were.
He wasn't going to let her fall.. not to find pain anyways..

there's a dream in my brain that just won't go away !it's been stuck there since it came a few nights ago. . .
Holly really did think he was special...she'd never met a guy who would just hang out with her and do stupid Holly things with her. And yet he'd already attempted playing hop scotch, splashed around in a fountain, and now he was about to take her to starbucks...she loved starbucks. And caffeine in general, really, but most people just told her she didn't need caffeine. Even her own brother refused to let her get any of her favorite drinks when she was around him. But she wasn't the kind of person who tried to convince people that they were special, or anything like that. She was horrible at cheering people up, or sympathizing. She was more the person you go to to make you laugh when you're in a bad mood.
She also thought what he said was incredibly sweet...she wasn't exactly called beautiful much, so that almost made her blush...Holly never blushed, but at the word beautiful she could feel a little bit of heat rising up to her cheeks. She smiled at him, and stood up, being careful not to fall. She'd already fallen once, and that was enough in her book...although she knew it would probably happen again. She stepped out of the fountain, being careful not to let her wet feet slip. She did a pretty good job at not slipping, too, until the last minute, but luckily Will was close enough for her to grab onto and steady herself.
"Whoops." She said, giggling, as she stepped away from him and went to go slip her shoes on. "Let's go." She said, smiling at him once her shoes were on her feet.

William reached for her and helped her down, steadying her on her feet so she could get her shoes back on. He reached for his, and she was ready by the time he was. He smiled and pulled his jacket from the bench, holding it in his arms carefully. Hey, it was a nice jacket. He wasn't about to have it ruined because he was too lazy to take care of it. He caught up with her giddy walk, almost worn out from her speedy gait. She had some legs on her, and he'd be sure to step his own pace up a little.
He looked up at the sky, smiling at a bit of bright blue peaking from behind the clouds. It was finally clearing up. He looked down at her and laughed. "So, if you could drink one starbucks drink for the rest of your entire life, what would it be. For me, it would be the strawberries and cream frapucinno... those are fantastilistic.." Yeah, that was his word.. he didn't even remember how he came up with it, expect for the fact that it happened when he was arguing with his brothers, and yelled it, but it came out wrong.
He looked her over again, and felt his own cheeks heating.. What was this? Was he... crushing? Oh god, that was crazy. How long had it been since he could say he was really crushing? He shook his head mostly to himself to play it off, and then started humming softly, waiting for her to come up with something to talk about. Surely she could, since she was rather giddy. She always had something to talk about.. well always meaning the short time he'd known her. A day wasn't that long..

there's a dream in my brain that just won't go away !it's been stuck there since it came a few nights ago. . .
Holly didn't even need to think about an answer to his question. She kenw, hands down, Caramel Macchiato would win against all. It was her absolute favorite...although she really wasn't picky. She'd seriously drink black coffee if she needed to...she just liked the caffeine buzz. Even if she already kind of acted like she'd had ten cups of coffee she never felt like herself with caffeine in her system.
"Those are pretty good, but Caramel Macchiato's are better." She said, walking in her usual kind of bouncy way. Sometimes she had trouble not bouncing when she walked...which was part of the reason she fell so much. "I really like anything with caffeine, though. Energy drinks are amazing...like amp. Purple amps are the best. And monsters! Oh, those new monster things with the different kind of cans, those are great. I don't really like redbulls as much though...mostly because they don't really give you wings." She giggled a little bit at her lame joke...which she found hilarious.
"So...fantastilic? How did you come up with such a word?" She asked, raising her eyebrows at him and giggling again. It kind of sounded like something a four year old would say...it was cute. Then again he was cute..he was very cute. And he was funny, and sweet, and...he'd called her beautiful. She wasn't ever goign to let go of that. Well, she probably would when she forgot it a few days later...she didn't exactly have the best memory ever. Often times she forgot names right after she was introduced to someone. She never really got embarrassed by it though..she didn't exactly get embarrassed often. Or really...ever.

Now that he thought about it, she didn't need any caffine, but she seemed to like.. no.. love starbucks, and he wasn't stripping her of that happiness. He laughed at her rampaging conversation with herself about energy drinks, and then stopped at her question. "I think I was talking with my brothers.. and.. I just.. said it.. I don't really know what I was trying to say, but that's the way it came out. Now they all come up with dumb words to match mine.. like.. fantazmic or something.." He shook his head and nodded, his memory of the event playing over and over.
Yeah.. that was about how it happened.
Oh god.. she was staring at him. He felt his heart speed up in his chest, feeling as if the thumping against his ribs could be heard from a mile away. He swallowed slowly and rounded the sidewalk as it made a curve, his arm brushing hers.. Shit.. goosebumps. He inhaled nervously, and made sure his wallet was still secured in his jeans. "Okay.. how about since you taught me how to play hop scotch and seduced me in the fountain, I pay you back with starbucks.. and possibly a date on Friday night? I mean.. if you're free.." He mumbled the last sentence, too nervous to project them like she did..
Why was this so strange to him?

She giggled a little bit at his story...she had a feeling his brothers were cool guys, even though she'd barely heard anything about them. But Will was a cool guy, so why wouldn't his brothers be? Plus Holly found she liked most people...even if they didn't usually like her...
As she heard him speak her eyes widened a little bit. He was asking her out...Holly usually tried to steer away from dates...dates usually ended up in dating, and dating meant being tied down, and she hated being tied down...she wasn't any good at it. Her longest relationship had been three days...and those were probably the longest three days of her life. But...she liked Will. He was...amazing, she knew that from the short amount of time she'd known him. He wasn't like allt he other guys she talked to...and when their arms brushed when they took that turn her arm had kind of...tingled a little bit. And it was just a date.
"well..." She said, slowly, sounding like she was thinking it over...Holly didn't usually think before she spoke, but she was this time. "I'm free...and...we could go on a date." She smiled a little bit, and lifted her hand up to her mouth, chewing on the nail of her index finger. It was a nervous habit of hers, and she thought it was so gross...but she couldn't help it most of the time. She didn't really know why she was so nervous, but she was. Oh, she hated feeling nervous. She dropped her hand so it was back at her side and looked at him out of the corner of her eye. He really was cute...

Will let a sigh of relief split his lips as she said yes.. He'd never thought about how mind blowing it would be to wait for a girl to say no.. He was so used to her answers being fast, that when she slowed down, it only made him that much more nervous. He smiled at her, his face turning towards hers as she giggled.. God she was cute.. He gave a laugh to match hers, though his was deeper where her's had a sharp tinkle to it, and then missed the raised part in the concrete, tripping..
"Oh.. sh-snap.." He almost slipped, but he caught his mouth before it got away from him. He hated cussing too much around girls.. it was just disrespectful. Okay, call him old fashioned, but it was the absolute truth. He shook his head and recorrected his footing, catching up with her, though she'd not ventured far, probably to laugh at him.. "Okay.. so I guess my legs are too long too.." He gave another laugh, and then looked up.. "Well, there's starbucks.." A touch of disappointment laced in with his words, his pout all to proving. He wished he had a longer walk with her.. but truthfully, he was happy either way..
They could play 20 questions, and he was sure it'd go fast with her.. As fast as she could rattle away.. He pulled the door open, biting his own lips as his eyes landed on hers as she walked past him. Following her in, he shook his head.. No.. it wasn't polite to think about that.. it was way too early, after all.. but they were so soft and yummy looking.. and bright pink. He wanted to taste them..

Holly giggled a little bit as he tripped, but she kept walking, figuring he would catch up. She wouldn't have really minded if he swore...most guys did swear around her and stuff, no big deal. She had, after all, grown up with Luke as her brother...even if everyone considered him so charming and sweet he definitely had a mouth on him, at least when it was just he and Holly. Of course he didn't talk nearly as bad around their parents, but who did?
"There's nothing wrong with long legs." She said, smiling a little bit. She liked his laugh, she liked hearing it...she hoped she'd get to hear it a lot. She really did like making people laugh, because laughing usually meant they were happy, and she'd always loved making people happy. She was pretty good at it, too, if she did say so herself. She looked up at saw Starbucks, smiling a little bit. She was going to get her caffeine soon! The very thought kind of made her want to jump for joy...but she didn't. That was a really good way for him to say he changed his mind, because he wasn't going to give someone who was already crazy enough caffeine.
As he opened the door for her she slipped in, glancing at him. "Thanks." He sure was a gentleman...it was refreshing in a world full of perverted guys who only wanted to get in your pants. She had a feeling Will wasn't like that...then again, he was a guy. If there was one thing she'd learned about guys in her life it was that they were pretty much all the same. Although Will...was somehow different, as she kept telling herself.
By the time she was in the store she was pretty much bouncing, and her eyes were shining. She couldn't wait to have that drink in her hands, and be able to devour it! Plus Will was buying it...which made her feel all warm and tingly for some reason. Then again, the thought of caffeine always made her feel warm and tingly...so she dismissed it as that.

In his entire 18 years of life, he'd only come close to sex twice, and even then he'd not followed through. Of course, that didn't stop the two girls he turned down from spreading the rumors about the fake event.. Not that they were bad to his reputation.. if anything they said he was great in bed, and next thing he knew he had sex offers daily.. but it did take a great toll on his concious.. He hated that rumor.. it wasn't true that he was a sex god, though with his body you couldn't really tell..
He stopped behind her in the line, and glanced at the menu, a smile curving his lips as she bounced around.. So this was definately her favorite spot.. He would remember that.. If she was going off, he knew this was probably where he could find her.. He pulled out his wallet and stood next to her at the register as it was their turn. After she ordered, he ordered his frapucinno, and then paid the man. Taking his change, he dropped a tip in the jar, and then stepped towards the receiving counter, looking down at her.
He was almost afraid if he touched her, he'd crush her. She seemed so delicate, but so lively at the same time. He'd not be able to catch her after this.. well maybe.. but he'd be more tired then she would be. He had no idea where all of her energy came from, but it was nice to see a girl who wasn't all like.. "OMG... GOSSIP!" She was a nice refresher for him.. Which was probably another reason he was so attracted..
Did he just say that? NO WAY!...

Holly ordered a Caramel Macchiato, deciding to stick with her all time favorite. No matter how much she loved change and such she wanted to be safe when it came to her coffee. Then again, she did like almost anything that gave her a little bit of a zip, so as long as it wasn't decaf she was all set. Decaf was for people...who weren't Holly. Holly needed something completely loaded. She never even really worried about weather she was a little bit too much for some people...she knew she was, a lot of them told her, but she hoped Will wasn't one of them. She knew she kind of acted like some overly energetic puppy, but maybe he liked that kind of thing? Maybe. She frowned a little bit mentally, as she stepped over to the receiving counter. Since when had she cared what anyone thought about her?
When she snapped out of her thoughts only a second or two later she realized Will was looking down at her...he really was tall. She hadn't exactly noticed how tall until right then. She looked into his eyes for a few moments, and then their drinks appeared. "Oh look." She said, turning towards them, and picking them up. She had some weird butterfly type things in her stomach...the kind she'd never actually experienced. But she'd heard about them, and she was almost positive that was exactly what was going on. She passed Will his drink, then grabbed his hand compulsively, and walked over to a table, sitting down. She hadn't even thought about the grabbing the hand thing, it was just one of those things she did, like hugging complete and total strangers are a way of hello.
"Let's sit down!" She said, sitting down. Even if she did like to be in motion a lot of the time sitting down was always good, too. She smiled and took a sip of her drink, savoring the taste. It was good...really good.

When Will was nervous.. he didn't stop talking.. he didn't bite his nails.. he played his ringtones.. Music was some form of comfort for the poor guy, and all she did was make him nervous all of a sudden.. was it because he was crushing? He shook his head and looked at his phone, accessing his rings rather quickly. Being lefthanded, he had to work it with his right hand, his frap resting gently in the light grasp of his left. He only took the phone out when she let go of his hand, and the feeling of her fingers leaving him only made him ache..
Well not really ache.. but he wanted her hand back in his..
Taking a sip of his drink, he stopped on the files under his and his brother's music... They'd made a few ringtones, and they came out rather well. Will smiled and began playing one.. It had a rockish sound to it, but it wasn't that bad really, well rock bad anyways..
Well here we are again.. Throwing punch lines, no one wins.. Woah.. As the morning sun begins to rise.. We're fading fast.. we can't work this out...
No we're not gunna work this out tonight.. No we're not gunna make this right.. So I give a kiss and say goodbye.. Cause we're not gunna work this out.. TONIGHT!
He smiled and looked at her.. "Just one of our many unfabulous songs.." He shrugged and leaned back next to her, their legs touch.. He wanted to just hold her.. But that would be weird, right? I mean they'd just met.. but the urge was so powerful.. God how long had it been since he'd even hugged a girl besides his cousin and his mother and other family? Wow.. it'd been way too long.. but he wasn't starting anything, no matter what..
He wasn't going to intrude like other rude guys in the world..

there's a dream in my brain that just won't go away !it's been stuck there since it came a few nights ago. . .
Holly drank her drink and listened to the song that was playing. It wasn't bad, she had to admit. Actually, she kind of liked it...which was saying something. Holly could be incredibly picky and closed minded when it came to music. Of course she'd never judge someone because of their taste in music, but she would have somewhat heated discussions with them. And when Holly started up she never backed down. She was mostly into mellow music, like acoustic music, but she liked some more upbeat stuff, too. One thing was for sure, though, she didn't listen to what most girls listened to. She...well, it really all depended on her mood. She could go from listening to The Beatles to 3OH!3 in seconds flat.
"That's you?" She asked, raising her eyebrows a little bit. "You guys are really good..." When his leg touched hers she kind of lost her train of thought for a moment, but she shook her head, and tried to remember what she had been saying. "um..I completely forgot what I was saying..." She laughed a little bit, then looked thoughtful. "Oh, wait, now I remember. It's not what I usually listen to, but it's still good. I like it." She smiled at him, then looked down at her drink, wondering if she was talking too much. She knew she was talking a lot more than him...what if he wasn't talking because he thought she was annoying? And an even better question, why was she actually caring? Most people thought she was annoying, she'd gotten used to it...and yet the thought of Will thinking she was annoying kind of made her frown a little bit. She shook her head again, and took a drink.
"If I'm talking too much you can just tell me." She said, placing her drink down on the table, and staring at it as though it was the most interesting object on earth.

He smiled and nodded.. "Yeah.. that's us.. and thanks.. I was at the beginning.. it was Kade on the chorus.." He flipped his phone closed, and took another drink, but caught the look on her face through the corner of his eyes.. No.. no.. don't cry! He blinked slowly and turned towards her as she spoke softly.. that had to be the most quiet she'd been since he'd met her.. He spun quickly, and rested an arm on the table.. "God.. no.. I don't care if you're the only one who ever talks.. I like hearing you talk.." He paused, as if trying to make sure she got what he just said, and then gave a soft chuckle.. "I'm just nervous... I'm sorry.." Lowering his eyes from her eyes, he stared at her lips for a second, but then tore his eyes away..
"I usually don't get like this.. usually around people.. I'm this.. wild.. rambunctious guy.. the life of the party.. but if it's someone I'm close with.. or someone I like.. I.. I've always been known to mellow out.. I have dual personalities.. and.. you just so happen get to see both of William today.." He sighed and leaned sideways on the table, his body twisted oddly.. Turning, he rested his forhead on the table, his nose pressed against it softly.. but enough to make it scrunch..
"God.. I wish.. I understood myself better.." He felt so strange when he was like this.. his dual personalities were strange.. He was an animal on stage.. doing splits and pelvic thrusts, sliding across the floor to let the girls get face to face with him.. But.. around a girl he was serious about.. you couldn't hardly understand him anymore.. He was a big jumble of emotions.. and he hated it.. It felt.. weird.. "Don't ever think.. you annoy me.. because you don't... I annoy me.." he whispered, and spun his cup in his hand, his head still on the table..
Sure.. even football players screwed up.. no matter how well they knew the play..

there's a dream in my brain that just won't go away !it's been stuck there since it came a few nights ago. . .
Holly frowned a little bit...although she felt kind of happy. He had said he only got like this around people he liked a lot...and that must have meant he liked her a lot. The thought made her feel all warm and fuzzy inside, like a hot summer day...but she wanted to make him happier. She hated seeing people upset...but she wasn't usually too good at cheering them up, some of the time. She sighed a little bit, wishing she hadn't even said anything. Why did she always have to say whatever popped into her head?
Holly placed a hand on his shoulder. "Aw...don't be annoyed with yourself...because...you're a great person." She knew that sounded absolutely idiotic, and stupid, and yet she just kept talking. "You're funny, and sweet, and cute, and you're one of the nicest guys I've ever met, and you make me smile even more than usual, if that's even possible." As though to prove her point she smiled a little bit, and took her hand off his shoulder. She truly sucked at trying to make people feel better about themselves, and she knew it, but it was worth a try anyway. She wanted Will to be happy, and she wanted him to realize what a great guy he was, because she truly thought he was a great guy. If she didn't she probably wouldn't have said anything, and let him go on being annoyed with himself...but she liked him.
Actually, that was a bit of an understatement. She knew she was starting to have a bit of a crush on him...which wasn't odd for Holly. She got crushes fast, and got rid of them just as quickly. She liked everything in life to go fast pace...but she was thinking maybe Will would be different. Maybe she wouldn't be bored of him after a day or two. She doubted it, but she still hoped it nonetheless. She wanted to hug him...which also wasn't odd for Holly. She loved hugs, and all that kind of stuff. Physical contact of any kind, really. She was known for kissing her friends on the cheeks as a way of greeting. She knew no such thing as personal space, it was foreign in the world of Holly.

Will sat up after she took her hand off of his shoulder, and gave her a soft grin.. No, he wasn't upset.. but rather.. confused really... She was so sweet, how could he be upset. He just didn't understand why he was acting like this.. he was just fine around her earlier.. What the hell was going on! He wished he had Shane here right now.. Shane could help. He looked her over and sat back.. "Well at least you understand.. that's all I can ask for really.." Lifting his straw to his lips, he went to take a sip but missed it.. He laughed softly and looked at it, finally catching the straw to take his sip..
Well everyone had their dumb moments..
He laughed and looked at her.. "Don't tell anyone about that.." he began, but he really didn't care. People had seen him do worse.. like dance on a bar at Shane's birthday party.. to Low by Flo Rida of all songs.. That had been interesting.. They were betting on him.. for a date.. and he'd raised something over 500 dollars just for Shane's college.. Kade helped and raked in nearly that much himself.. Lord.. the girls they'd ended up going on a date with.. Definately not going back.. He busted out laughing and shook his head at the memory..
"You know.. you should see me dance on a bar sometime.."
