there's a dream in my brain that just won't go away !it's been stuck there since it came a few nights ago. . .
Holly breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that he wasn't upset, or anything of the sort. Now she wouldn't have to continue with her lame cheering up, which she was embarrassed she'd even done now. She giggled a little bit, as he tried to drink his drink, but missed the straw. He was so cute! That was all she could think about, how cute he was. She was so glad she'd met him...so glad that they had hung out, and that they were going to keep hanging out. Well, she assumed they were...he had asked her out. Of course that was another thing she was glad for...him asking her out a date. Despite the fact that she hated dating she'd been on several dates, but she had a feeling this one was going to be a good one. She wondered momentarily what they were going to do? Go to the movies? Just as she was thinking about that he started laughing, and her gaze snapped on him.
She giggled a little bit. "I definitely should." She agreed. That was something she would have to see, most definitely. She couldn't quite imagine it, but knew it would be entertaining. then again, Holly was kind of easily amused, especially by such things as people making complete fools of themselves in public. Then again, Will was cute enough that he could probably get away with such things... "You must show me sometime." She said it as more of an order...as though she were saying 'you're going to show me sometime, or I'll be very upset with you'. But in reality she'd probably forget about it in a few minutes...or she'd become completely obsessed with having to see him dance on a bar for the next year or so.

Will couldn't believe he was standing here with this girl. Sitting, actually... but he didn't really have a hold on his body as he stared at her, her smile seeming to tear him from reality for a moment. As she laughed about his bar comment, he nodded.. "Oh I'm sure you will.. It'll be my dad's birthday soon.. he wants a big party.. and.. well know knows.. I may just have to do some dancing.." He shrugged playfully and took a good long drink of his frapucinno, savoring the creamy goodness, and then dipped his finger in the whipped cream, removing it from his fingertip seconds later.
"I love starbucks.. but not as much as you do.." he added, giving her a sideways glance, a smirk slipping across his lips. She was fun to be with, easy to talk to, and she seemed.. so fresh. She was something like mountain air when you've lived in Colorado for so long.. His cousin Chance would say the same thing.. He had to wonder how Chance was doing with Cassi.. He shrugged softly and looked around the room, seeing some business men with laptops and hand helds coming in for some coffee.. God.. what time was it?
Glancing at his watch, he blinked.. "So.. what should we do now?" he asked, raising the cup to his face. He took another drink, and then raised a brow, looking her over. God had some strange ways of leading people down their chosen paths, but Will didn't mind the spontenaity.. It reminded him of her..
Holly, that is..

there's a dream in my brain that just won't go away !it's been stuck there since it came a few nights ago. . .
Holly was a little confused by that. Was that him saying that she was going to go to his father's birthday party? Why would she go to his father's birthday? Oh well, she didn't care, at least she'd get to see him dance, even if it would be kind of weird to go to his father's birthday party. That would probably mean she'd have to meet his father...which would just be weird...why would she meet his father? Actually, it wasn't that weird...friends met other friends parents all the time...they just didn't usually go to their parents birthday parties.
"I can't wait." She said, smiling. She really did smile too much...but she didn't ever realize it until her cheeks started hurting. Actually, her cheeks kind of did hurt form all the smiling she was doing...she smiled even more around Will than she did around most people, it was odd. And she was also running out of things to say...which was double odd. She usually never stopped talking, and would say anything that popped into her mind at any time, no matter how ridiculous she knew it was, or no matter if she thought it might hurt the persons feelings. Of course if it did she always felt bad after, but she never really aimed to hurt their feelings...she just couldn't stop talking sometimes.
"We should...well, we've done everything on the list." She said, looking down at her drink, which was pretty much gone. She drained the last bit of it, then looked around the place. She wasn't smiling, but she didn't look unhappy, or anything. She could always manage to look happy even when she wasn't smiling. "Now it's your tun to come up with something to do." She glanced at him, and raised her eyebrows, hoping he could come up with something. She hated being bored more than anything on earth. Well, almost anything...

He had to wonder, though, why he felt this way around her.. and it bugged him to deny asking if she felt the same thing.. but it was wayyyy too early to ask such a thing. He let his chocolate eyes focus on her face, tracing her every feature from the dimples on her cheek to the way her eyelashes curled over those gorgeous eyes of hers.. Smiling as she suddenly seemed out of ideas, he blinked..
Great.. pressure on him..
"Hmm.." He was a little lost for ideas.. He felt kind of like that poor guy in "How to lose a guy in 10 days"... except he hoped there was no malicious plotting against him going on in that active mind of hers. Maybe it was just his concious working on him.. He blinked.. "Uh.. well how about I walk you back to your dorm, and maybe we'll find something to do on the way there.. surely we've not run out of things to do this fast.." Standing up, he dropped his empty cup into the nearest trash can, and then led her to the door, where he opened it for her.
"Because.. I think.. I have a football in my dorm.. I could teach you to throw one.. or.. basketball.. whichever.." He knew as active as she was, it wouldn't be too taxing on her spunk.. but maybe she didn't like sports at all? Oh that could be bad.. he loved sports.. was the biggest jock of his family.. but.. no.. stop thinking negatively! She was fine..
And he wanted to try everything he could to keep her happy..

Holly stood up, and threw her cup away, following him over to the door. She couldn't help but burst out in giggles as he talked about teaching her how to throw some kind of...ball. It was absolutely hilarious to her. While she didn't hate sports, or anything, she'd never been good at them. Both her brother and her father had attempted getting her into some type of sport since she was old enough to walk. Tennis, basketball, soccer, and yet they failed. Everyone else in her family could play some kind of sport, but she was more musically talented than them...and in gym classes everyone else made sure no type of ball ever went near her.
"Well, you can try." She said, walking out the door, still giggling a little bit. "But I have to warn you just about every else on earth has tried, and failed. My brother, my father...my mom even tried to get me into tennis, or whatever that game with the ball and the thing is? I really just can't do sports." She shrugged a little bit. She still thought even just the idea was very amusing...maybe he'd get a laugh out of her trying to throw a football, or do a touch down with a basketball, or whatever it was you did with those things. Those were the ones you hit with the bats, right? She didn't really know...she just knew that she'd never been able to play sports, and never would. It wasn't that they didn't interest her, she just couldn't do them.

Will gave a soft laugh at her explanation.. "Oh.. well I was just gonna teach you how to throw it.. not anything too complicated.." He smiled down at her as they stepped into the warming sunlight.. Spring was great.. except that it was still too cold at night. Checking his cellphone, he made sure Kade and Shane hadn't tried to get ahold of him, and then rounded the corner with her, heading back towards the dorms..
"I promise I'll be gentle.." he whispered, dropping his phone into his pocket again. It was a nice day.. and what made it even better was the fact that she was here to brighten it even more. That smile she had was intoxicating, and it made him smile even more. He looked both ways before crossing the crosswalk with her, taking her hand as an instinct to ensure safety, and then let it go as they reached the other side... "So what do you have planned for spring break? My brother was going to have a barbecue, and then I was gunna head to the lake for a few days with Kade.. just a brother thing.. if you're not planning anything, you're more then welcome to come along.." He blinked softly and looked over at her, wondering if she'd oblige..

there's a dream in my brain that just won't go away !it's been stuck there since it came a few nights ago. . .
Holly smiled a little bit as he took her hand and crossed the street...she liked the feeling of his hand in hers. She frowned a little bit when he dropped her hand, but quickly made herself smile again. It wasn't as if she expected him to hold her hand forever, or anything. Actually, that would get a little boring. As he asked her about spring break she smiled a little bit...it looked like she'd finally found someone who actually enjoyed her company...she knew most people couldn't stand hanging out with her for long periods of time, even her closest friends, but she sort of understood. She could be kind of annoying...or so most people seemed to think.
"I don't have anything planned." She said, her voice dripping with happiness as it usually did...even if she wasn't exactly happy. Her happiness was like a mask she put on for everyone. Well, almost everyone...she had a few people who had seen her without it. But most of the time people didn't even know it was just fake bliss. "That sounds great, actually. I thought Spring break was going to be boring, but now I know it's going to be fun fun fun!" She giggled a little bit, her face looking bright, and her eyes shining like a small child's. She knew they were going to have fun...Will was proving to be a fun person so far, and Holly liked fun people. Boring people were...well, boring. "Thanks for inviting me." She added hastily, not wanting to sound rude or anything.

Will shook his head.. "No.. no.. you're quite welcome, and I'm glad you accepted at all. It's not everyday I meet someone I want to spend my spring vacation with.." He shrugged slowly and turned left at the corner, waving a one of his friends that honked as they drove by.. He looked over his shoulder at the car, and stuffed his hands in his pockets.. This was probably the best day he'd had all week.. thanks to Holly..
He gave her a sideways glance, and a soft pink stole to his cheeks, making it obvious it was a stolen gaze.. "Oh.. uh.. bring bug repellent.. and.. lots of marshmellows.. as well as a swimsuit, sleeping bag, and clothes.." Should he mention they had two tents? "Oh.. well we have two tents to use.. but if you want one to yourself, you should probably pack your own.." He cleared his throat for a second, and nodded.. "Yeah.. because otherwise you'd have to share with me or one of my brothers.. but they're cool.. they don't bite.."
He gave a laugh.. "But I might.." He gave a playful smirk, and then laughed softly, shaking his head.. "Nah.. I don't bite unless tempted.. and even then.. I'm still not sure I would.." Checking his phone, he nodded. Only a little after 5:30.. they had some time to throw the football around.. and then he'd take her to her dorm.. Of course.. He was a gentleman.. he'd not be rude and let her walk back by herself.. There were worse dangers then spiders and drunk drivers out there while walking home..
And he really didn't want him keeping her out late to be the cause..
He had to be getting really attached to her.. already.. or he'd not be so careful with what he said or thought.. sheesh.. even thinking about the sway to her hips made that guilty lump form in his throat.. she had a deep swing.. but not so deep that it was too obvious.. she was definately matured though, or she'd not have it.. He nodded at his immediate discomfort in picking her apart like that, and shoved the idea away.

Holly glanced over at a car that honked, wondering who it was, until she noticed that Will waved...which meant it was obviously someone he knew. A friend or something. She frowned a little bit at what he said next. She didn't have a tent...she'd actually never gone camping or anything like that. Despite the fact that she loved the outdoors, she'd grown up in New York City, and only ever left it a few times, for vacations out of the country, other then for school, of course. "Well, I don't have a tent. But I'd be cool with sharing." She shrugged a little bit. She didn't really have any issue with sharing with either him or his brothers...most of her friends were guys, it had kind of been like that since forever. Sure she had a few girl friends, but mostly she tended to just chill with guys. They were so much cooler, at least in her opinion...much less mean, as well, even if they were a bit perverted. Well, most of them were...Will wasn't. or at least he didn't act it.
She giggled a little bit. "You couldn't hurt a fly." She said, smiling, although she wasn't so sure...he was pretty muscular, she noted, glancing at him. She hadn't noticed that he actually had a really nice body until that moment...well, from what she could see. He was wearing a jacket...and she hadn't actually paid much attention earlier when he had took it off, which annoyed her. She never seemed to be paying attention to those kind of things until it was too late. Then again, he did say to bring a swim suit...which meant they would be swimming...which meant that she would get to see him shirtless. She almost smiled at the thought...
And then of course she almost tripped over her own feet. "Oops!" She said, giggling, and catching herself. "I wasn't paying attention to where I was going...again." She shrugged a little bit, proud that she had actually managed to catch herself. That never really happened. But she really hadn't been paying attention, not to where she was going...instead she had been staring at Will. She hoped he hadn't actually noticed...that would be kind of awkward...then again, she had caught him look at her a few times...

Will stopped as they came to another cross walk, and looked at the light across the street. It finally changed after he pressed the button, and he crossed carefully, keeping a pace that she could keep up with. He felt his body twitch at the urge to grab her as she tripped, but she caught herself.. He almost regretted her doing so, because he wanted to catch her.. Oh well.. at least she was okay..
He laughed with her and kept walking, the view of the dorms just ahead.. Okay, so it wasn't that long of a walk.. Sadly.. that meant he was fixing to lose the final few hours of daylight they had sooner then expected.. like the walk made any difference though.. Time did as it please.. and right now Will wanted to give it a good kick in the ass.. Bastard. Like Time cared.. whatever.
Giving a soft sigh, he reached for his key in his pocket, and stopped at the entrance to the boys dorms.. Looking around, he nodded.. "There's not any guards.. if you wanna come with me.. you can.. we'll take the back exit.." He let her follow him up the stairs to his dorm, and then opened it.. The cool air of his airconditioner hit him, and he dove for his bed, landing on it softly.. Reaching for his football which was wedged between his pillows, he stood up and yanked his jacket off.. dropping it on the bed, he turned to look at her.. "Here.." Handing her the football, he opened a drawer and took out one of his many cut off t-shirts, moving for his bathroom.. he wasn't going to scare her.. sheesh.. When he returned, he was armed with the orange camp t-shirt from many years ago, as he'd gotten it large, and then cut it up. The sleeves were gone, and it was cut down a good 7 or 8 inches to allow easy movement.. Slipping out of his current nikes, he slipped into an older pair, and smiled.. "Okay.. so.. come on.." Dropping his key lanyard around his neck, he nodded for her to follow him onto the grassy spot between the dorms in the back..
"I'll keep it simple for you at first.. and then.. we'll try the actual throw.. okay.." Simple enough right.. He asked for the ball, which he would use to show her how to hold it..

there's a dream in my brain that just won't go away !it's been stuck there since it came a few nights ago. . .
Holly followed him up to his dorm, not feeling the least bit awkward. She'd been in plenty of guys dorms before, it was really no big deal. Once they got there she looked around the room, examining it. She wasn't a neat freak...actually, she was the opposite. Everything of hers was always messy, and disorganized. Actually, she usually looked kind of messy and disorganized, unless she tried to make herself look nice. Her clothing didn't usually match, and she never really spent hours on her hair if she was just going about and doing regular things...of course for special occasions it took much longer. She'd go all out, and do her hair and try to dress nice, and all of that. But mostly she just wore whatever her hands touched, let her hair do it's thing, and threw on however much make-up she felt like wearing.
She took the football from him in a wary way, then watched him. When she saw that he had brought out a shirt she smiled a little bit...it seemed she didn't actually have to wait until they went swimming. Or so she thought until he walked into the bathroom. She sighed a bit, though she wasn't exactly surprised. Disappointed, yes, but not surprised. She knew already from the short amount of time she'd known Will that he wasn't just going to take off his shirt like that in front of her, even if most other guys would, no questions asked. She didn't mind all that much...she liked that he was different.
She glanced at him when he returned. Just as she'd suspected, he had a nice body. She smiled a little bit, and walked out in a bouncy way. She didn't know why, but she was excited...she'd never been excited for anything like this before. Maybe it was because she was doing it with Will...yeah, that was probably it. "Okay." She said, giving him the ball. It was then that she knew that she was definitely more excited about hanging out with Will than trying to learn how to do something a million people had tried to teach her before, and failed. But she knew Will wouldn't make fun of her feeble attempts...at least not out loud, she hoped. She really hated having anything even slightly bad said about her.
"Let's do this." She said, giggling a little bit, and looking around. She really had no idea what she was doing...

He was definately a football player, classified as such with his toned arms, and muscled torso.. of course, the legs were a dead give away, since they were just about as built as the rest of him by themselves.. He had a nice tan.. though he never knew why as white as his parents were.. Shaking his hair out of his face, he looked at her.. "Okay.. basics.. you always keep your fingertips on the laces.." He demonstrated by lining his fingers up on the laces, and then pointed.. "The laces are these white lines.. you need to have plenty of space between each finger.. they shouldn't be touching.."
He showed her again.. "You're going to pull the arm back.. so your elbow is even with your ear, for just a fraction of a second of course, and then.. you let it fly.." He was left handed, so his left arm was exposed for her.. He launched it just like he told her, and watched it soar for a good number of yards before smacking the ground, and spinning up into the air a few times before rolling to a stop.. "So.. you think.. with me helping.. you can do that?" He laughed.. "Maybe not that far.. but the general theory?" He smiled and nodded for her to walk with him, covering the distance to the football, and then looked back up at her as he picked it up.. "I promise I won't hurt you.. just.. look.. you right or left handed?"
He let his chocolate eyes scan her face for a moment before nodding carefully. At her answer, he handed her the ball, and stood behind her, his body lining up with hers.. he was usually multidexterous, so he could manage a right handed throw if need be.. "Remember the laces.." he added, a hand reaching gently for her elbow.. "You don't want to lock this up or you can strain it.. so.. keep it a little relaxed.. and try to step into it just a little.. it's like tennis, or softball.. the more hip you use.. the more power you have.." He didn't realize how close they were as he spoke.. but a blush spread across his cheeks when he did.. No use in moving now right? Or.. unless she told him to..

there's a dream in my brain that just won't go away !it's been stuck there since it came a few nights ago. . .
Holly watched him, trying to listen closely, but she wasn't really too good at paying attention to what people were saying a majority of the time. She was incredibly easy to distract, so even though she was trying to understand what he was even talking about she hardly heard a word he was saying. She was, however, watching him closely...she was much better at looking than listening, mostly because she could think her thoughts while watching, but to think while listening was much harder for her.
She zoned back into the real world as she realized he's asked her a question. "umm...right." She said, thinking about it, even though she knew the answer. She kind of felt as though he were giving her some weird kind of test, or something. She took the ball as he handed it to her, and looked at it as though it was a foreign object, despite the fact that due to the fact that that her brother had played football since he could walk she'd seen them a million times, kicking around the house.
The next thing she knew he was standing behind her...and he was very close. Not that she objected...no, not at all. She liked being close to people...she always had...especially Will. She knew it was probably abnormal that she obviously had a bit of a crush on him already, even considering how quickly she usually started liking guys, but she didn't care. "Right..." She said, looking down at the ball, and attempting to hold it like he had told her to. She knew she was probably not holding it right...and what had he said about the laces? Oh, she couldn't remember...it was even harder to remember with him standing so close to her. She hoped he couldn't hear her heart, which felt as though it was going to break out of her rib cage...it was all so confusing. "Okay...now what do I do, again?" She asked, her voice seeping with confusion.

Will gave a soft chuckle and shook his head.. "Okay.. make sure your fingertips are on the laces.. the white lines.. and that there's a little space between each one.. then you draw your arm back.. and throw it.." He reached his arm around her to adjust her fingers on the football, and smiled.. "It's not that bad.. but you've got smaller hands.." He looked at his own and pouted.. "I've got man hands.." She probably caught the joke. When she had her fingers on the laces comfortably, he let his fingers draw up her arm, though he didn't intend to linger like he had.. He'd just got caught up in the smooth skin gliding under his fingertips.. She was addicting.. and she smelt really.. good..
Swallowing softly, he did another check over her fingers on the football, and gently laid his fingers over the back of her hand.. "Okay.. now.. we're going to stand like this as long as it takes for you to get used to having your fingers like that.. and loosen you're elbow.." He reached for it again, and gave a laugh.. "You act like you're scared of the football.." Maybe it was him being this close.. He could back off if she wanted him to.. but she'd not said anything..
Relaxing behind her, though difficult due to the butterflies in his stomach and the pounding of his heart against his chest.. surely she felt the thumping just about as badly as he did.. He made sure her hand was firmly held under his, and then smiled.. The difference in size was largely noticable.. but he'd not say anything.. Drawing her arm back, he sighed and pressed his cheek against the side of her head.. "On three, you let go.. okay.." He inhaled slowly, and started counting.. "One... two... three!" He pushed her arm forward, following the own gentle pull of hers, and watched the ball fly a few feet..
Was there something wrong?

there's a dream in my brain that just won't go away !it's been stuck there since it came a few nights ago. . .
She knew she was probably enjoying this too much...but she didn't care. She liked the way his hand looked on hers...even if his large hands made hers look like a three year old's. And she liked the way it felt when he traced his fingers up her arm, she liked the goose bumps his fingers made, as if by magic. She was glad she's agreed to this, even if it did mean having to try and learn how to throw a football...it was an excuse to be this close to him. She'd take any excuse she could get...which was odd. She usually didn't look for an excuse to get close to people...she usually just did it, Holly knew no boundries, no personal space, even when she was little her teachers had to tell her to stay out of peoples bubbles. But Will was different, she knew that already.
"I'm not afraid of anything." She said, at his comment about her looking like she was afraid of the ball...she wasn't afraid of the ball, really, just of not being able to learn how to throw the stupid ball...and being a failure in front of Will. Being a failure itself was bad enough for her.
As she felt his cheek press against her head she smiled a little bit, even though she knew what was coming next. She was going to have to try and throw the thing...although he was helping, so maybe she wouldn't do that badly. She nodded, as he counted, then let go of the ball at three...a little surprised when it went anywhere. She had half expected it to just drop down. Then again, it hadn't gone very far, either. "hmmm...I've done worse." She giggled a little bit, and turned her head to look at him.
