i know you're scared that i'll soon be over it. that's part of it all. part of the beauty of falling in love with you is the fear you won't fall.
rebecca was full of butterflies and fireworks as she led amelia back to the school, which was only a couple of blocks away. but in her head, she was miles away on some distant planet. she couldn't help but feel weightless and bubbly so suddenly. she had finally given in to her feelings and realized that the emotion was mutual. rebecca was indeed a lucky girl to have such things without a caviot. the girl looked over and smiled at her friend, her girlfriend, and felt the butterflies flutter frantically inside her. would this feeling ever go away? she hoped not, and to quench that thirst she leaned over and pressed her lips to amelia's cheek. for that few seconds she admired the smooth texture of her skin against her lips, and she would've stopped right there to kiss her lips if she wasn't so busy walking.
it felt like an eternity before they were only a block away from the school. rebecca snuggled in closer to amelia and wrapped her arm around her waist. the junior realized, but she kept this notion to herself, that she was a bit taller than amelia. she smiled a bit to herself and leaned over to kiss the girl's hair, breathing in the scent of her shampoo. she would never get over the way the butterflies burst into full energy within her, how they twisted and turned with ecstacy at every touch. just the feeling of the fabric of her shirt beneath her hand...
before she even realized it, they were both at the school again. the beck hall where she lived wasn't too far, so she led amelia through the gate to the front door to the dorm building. her dorm room was on the first floor just down the hall from where they were. rebecca was glad that she cleaned her dorm to get rid of the strong paint odor. she knew she could never show her her art gallery if it the scent knocked amelia out. rebecca stopped at her door, dropping amelia's hand so she could shove her hand into her poclet to retrieve her keys. she smiled to her friend and opened the door, holding it open with her foot so the sophomore could enter first. my art gallery, she said.

OOC: omgosh I found the perfect song for them! Ben Lee - Ache for you. Amelia wasn’t a huge fan of surprises, it was only because of Rebecca she wasn’t protesting. Besides her excitement was infectious. It was also hard to focus when her world had been turned upside down. One second it was a normal day and the next she was holding hands with Rebecca Murphy. Her face glowed red at the very thought. Unusually happy Amelia allowed Rebecca to direct her back towards their school accepting all of the junior’s affection along the way. Rebecca almost seemed like a different person, the girl she had met a few weeks ago had been much more reserved then the one beside her today.
Despite all her happiness she found herself worried about tripping as Rebecca drew closer. The perfect way to ruin their perfect outing. It was a good thing then they had reached Rebecca’s room, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t disappoint that Rebecca moved away. The air seemed oddly stale without Rebecca’s sent filling her senses. The sophomore almost pouted for a moment before realizing this was the reason they had left the café in the first place. She looked between Rebecca and the door before shyly stepping inside, unsure of what to expect. Rebecca’s dorm really was an art gallery. She was amazed the junior had room to sleep and do her ‘real’ school work in the small dorm. She slowly spun in a circle taking in every detail before turning her attention back to Rebecca with one eyebrow raised in amazement. Not only was she beautiful and smart, she was talented. Rebecca was astonishing. Afterwards she walked over to Rebecca and softly kissed her cheek in a thank you. A chance to see her art was a great gift, Amelia knew some people who wouldn’t even show half of their work to their teachers let alone a friend.

i know you're scared that i'll soon be over it. that's part of it all. part of the beauty of falling in love with you is the fear you won't fall.
watching amelia admire the artwork that hung on the walls was the only thing that kept rebecca from closing in that space between them, joining them by the lips again. it felt like she was walking through a familiar dream, one that she had many times before and couldn't seem to shake. nor did she want to. the girl looked to the paintings and photgraphs she covered the walls with and wondered what her friend thought of them. there was one of the beach, one of the view through her window in the morning, and even a snapshot she took while visiting her cousins in idaho two summers before. rebecca recalled framing it as soon as she got home so she could hang it next to her star wars poster.
however, the one painting that caught rebecca's eye was one she did most recently. it sat almost in the center of the wall, it frame a fair size but painted a rich shade of gold. the junior made her way slowly to the picture and reached out to touch it. she carressed it with one finger as if it were a fragile thing, even though it was her own creation and not one of another hand. but it was precious to her. she could easily recognize the curve of the lip, the hair that curled and waved flawlessly, the sparkle in the eyes, and that tiny dimple in the cheek. after all, the real thing was standing right behind her.
rebecca's heart lept into her throat. she was there, not only in the painting, but in her room. all that time she waited and thought over her actions the reactions that would follow led to this moment. amelia was no longer just her muse or an image on the wall that rebecca could admire and reminisce upon. she was there and she was real and she was hers. at last. the hand that still touched the painted version of amelia's face trembled a bit, and she let it drop to her side again. her heart beat fast again, like it did when they were in the cafe. a faint blush stained her cheeks and she felt herself smile, unable to control the way her lips twisted up. she turned to face the girl behind her.
i love you, she said, feeling her hands tremble as she signed. the butterflies' wings thrummed to the rhythm of her wild heartbeat. rebecca wondered if amelia could feel the vibrations that it sent throughout the room. she herself could certainly hear and feel it beating in her ears. and as she stood there, hating the distance that seperated her from amelia, she felt her heart almost pull her forward. with a slight air of caution, she moved slowly until she was inches from amelia and took her right hand, placing it on rebecca's shoulder, and took the other hand in hers. rebecca's own left hand rested at her waist. not wanting to break the conection between them, she said, "dance with me."

Amelia wanted to laugh at the Star Wars poster, Rebecca wasn’t someone she would have imagined to be into sci-fi. It seemed out of place among the paintings and photos. The sophomore was so distracted with all there was to see she almost didn’t noticed the painting in the center. Rebecca’s movement towards it was what drew her gaze to it. It made her own small sketch seem insignifigent in comparison. Amelia was nothing more then a one hit wonder compared to Rebecca. The sophomore had know idea the upperclassmen was so multi-talented. Amelia swallowed the lump forming in her throat. This was more then she could ever have imagined or expected. Without realizing it she was standing beside Rebecca staring at the painting, it was only Rebecca’s touch that drew her gaze away from its beauty. How could anyone see her, plain Amelia, in such a light as to create something so lovely? Perhaps Rebecca needed her eyes checked.
Dance? The thought was laughable, Amelia couldn’t dance. She smiled nervously and shook her head, moving her hand from Rebecca’s shoulder to play with the junior’s soft hair. It was an awkward moment, one Amelia hadn’t meant to cause, but she was knew at the whole dating ‘thing.’ In an effort to overcome the moment she pointed to the Star Wars poster and raised an eye brow with a sly smile. She allowed her hand to drop carelessly to her side, but then thought better of it and reached for Rebecca’s instead. rubbed the back of Rebecca’s palm feeling the soft silky skin beneath her finger tips then twisted their fingers together and shyly giving the older girl a kiss. Amelia could be moody, but even for her this was over the top. One minuet she was ready to climb all over Rebecca the next she was self conscious and nervous.

i know you're scared that i'll soon be over it. that's part of it all. part of the beauty of falling in love with you is the fear you won't fall.
rebecca felt her heart hammering in her chest when amelia shyly leaned in to kiss her. she felt the butterflies flutter in anticipation as the junior pressed her lips back, her hand going from amelia's waist to her cheek. it felt so soft beneath her fingertips, like warm velvet. rebecca felt like floating as she ran her hand through amelia's hair and ran it down to the small of her back, drawing her closer. in the back of her head, rebecca wondered if this was some strange, wonderful dream she didn't want to escape from. as she kissed amelia's lips, she trailed her lips along her cheek and down her jawline until she reached her neck. the blood rushed and her heart echoed in her ears as she paused for breath. it sounded shallow and ragged.
rebecca felt her hands pull amelia as she walked backwards, feeling like a blind person until she reached the couch. she pulled amelia into her lap and connected their lips again, feeling a fever come over her. the junior never felt so excited beffore, as if every other kiss she shared was just friendly and insignificant. these were passionate and full of lust. rebecca loved every second that she felt amelia's lips against hers, her skin at her fingertips. rebecca slowly ran her hands under amelia's shirt and felt the skin of her waist. it was warm, like the summer sun, and it was soft like her cheek. this felt so right, this closeness. like they were puzzle pieces made fit so perfectly, molded like missing half of a whole. all her life, rebecca felt like she was missing something important in her life and searched endlessly for someone to fit the empty space in her heart.
rebecca took another moment to breathe, waiting for her heart to return to a normal speed. she smiled at amelia and ran her hand over her cheek, rubbing circles over the soft skin. her lips felt like they were connected to amelia's with invisible wires. the deaf girl would never understand how thatfelt to her unless she were to touch her own cheek. but perhaps that feeling was all rebecca's. she hoped that amelia felt the same way when she touched rebecca's cheek or pressed their lips together. nothing excited her more than to think that the fever spread from her to the girl in her lap.

Amelia’s heart was pounding in her chest, she was excited, but nervous. It made her feel guilty to feel nervous, she had no reason to distrust Rebecca and no desire to hurt the junior. A shiver ran down her spine as the junior ran her lips from her lips to the base of her neck. She allowed herself to be pulled to the coach and because it seemed right wrapped her arms around Rebecca’s neck as they kissed. A small gasp escaped her as the juniors hand touched her face, it was warm, gentle, and not uninvited. Her actions towards the older girl where definitely invitation and wasn’t as if she had done anything inappropriate, but Amelia wasn’t feeling Rebecca’s fever. She pulled away frowning when he girlfriend stop to breath. She felt as if she might cry and that made her angry. Was she nothing more than a silly little girl crying? To say she was killing mood right now would be an understatement. Amelia shook her head and signed, Sorry. She wanted to explain to Rebecca why she pulled back, but there weren’t words to do it. She wasn’t entirely sure why herself.
With one hand she softly stoked the juniors cheek before folding both in her lap. She was still perched on top of Rebecca, just not nose to nose with the girl. She could feel her eyes burning with salty tears, but forced them back as well as she could. She wouldn’t cry, it was bad enough she was already probably hurting Rebecca. What must the junior think of her, of the situation? Not wanting to offend Rebecca she kissed her deeply as if to prove it wasn’t her fault that her own behavior was so crazy. It was a very driven kiss, very emotional, and she hoped it conveyed what she didn’t have words to say. OOC: hmmm maybe one reason Rebecca is driven to Carter is because of how resistant Amelia is. She isn’t moving fast enough for Rebecca?

i know you're scared that i'll soon be over it. that's part of it all. part of the beauty of falling in love with you is the fear you won't fall.
rebecca puased when amelia pulled back and her eyes searched her friend's face. she could see the tears brimming to her eyelids, and os the she wiped them away with her thumbs. a worried expression graced her features as she soothed amelia, her lips brushing away the salty drops that began to well up. she adjusted their position so amelia could sit on the couch next to her, and she returned the kiss, softer than before. this wasn't what she intended to do. rebecca felt a pang of guilt for taking it so far, for scaring her. the junior pulled back and held amelia's head, running her fingers through her hair as she pressed her lips to the crying girl's forehead.
i'm so sorry, she thought, wanting to say the words aloud, but her mouth was glued shut. amelia wouldn't hear her, anyways.
rebecca looked down at the girl sheheld in her arms and felt for the fever. it was there, a burning desire that was now contained, a flame in a cage. from this perspective she could see more clearly, and she could see the damage she was causing. the girl lifted ameli'a face with one finger and dried her tears with her lips again. once she was free of the salty water, rebecca signed, i'm sorry. that was wrong of me. i didn't think. it was a pathetic excuse for her actions, but she knew it was wrong. she jumped the gun and now amelia's lovely face was stained with tears. but the pain seemed to fade from her chest, and she let a smile slip out.
it was as if she was holding her hand in a flame without feeling the burn. she could touch her fingertips to amelia's face and not feel like she would break her. rebecca could connect their lips without fear of catching fire or turning to ash. all the passion and none of the sting of lust. as the junior curled up and hugged amelia to her, she smiled and knew that this somehow would blossom and become something special. rebecca began to hum her favorite lullaby, hoping amelia could feel it as she laid the deaf girl to her chest.
ooc: sadly carter has left. maybe i'll find a new man for rebecca to be conflicted over.

Even if they spent a lifetime together Amelia decided she would never completely know Rebecca. The junior had so many beautiful sides to her, then again she was sure Rebecca was beautiful even when angry. The sophomore could imagine her face flushed scarlet with anger, a wild glint in her eyes, her hair flying around her face as she yelled. Exotic looking. Anger was not what was on the juniors face at this moment. She was nothing by gently, soft, and caring. Her thumbs carefully whipped away the tears that threatened to fall and then she kissed them away. She fell into her arms breathing deeply to calm herself, feeling for Rebecca’s heartbeat and the light vibrating of her chest from the humming. She wanted to be around to see every side of her.
Amelia shook her head no, fast maybe, but not wrong. She wouldn’t allow Rebecca to blame herself for her (Amelia’s) over reaction and her hands moved with confidence as she signed. She was disappointed with herself though, for doing that to Rebecca. She was so stupid, inexperienced really, but she considered it stupidity. Amelia sat up, gently prying the older girl’s arms from around her chest. Could we just talk, please. This wasn’t what she wanted, she wanted Rebecca. She wanted her happy, enjoying Amelia’s company, not comforting her. She wasn’t ready for a physical relationship, not a heavy one at least, but she wanted Rebecca, she wanted to laugh and talk with her. To just enjoy each other’s company. She wanted the feelings they had at the café, the library, even the art room where they had first met. Perhaps she was still over reacting, placing imaginary pressure where there was none. If only she had Rebecca’s confidence, or instinct or whatever it was that drove her. OOC: sorry it took so long and too bad about carter

i know you're scared that i'll soon be over it. that's part of it all. part of the beauty of falling in love with you is the fear you won't fall.
rebecca released amelia from her grasp and watched her sign, a smile creeping over her face when she saw the confidence in her hands. the worried pucker of her eyebrows relaxed as she listened to what amelia was saying. she felt a blush stain her cheeks and she lowered her eyes. she was going too fast, jumping into something this physical. thos was unfamiliar and quite frightening territory for rebecca. she had never really been with someone this deep. sure, her other girlfriends weren't super shallow, but they were in it for the passion. they wanted kisses and hugs and a physical connection more than one that was verbal or intellectual. amelia had that spark in her that no one else had, and the artist loved that.
rebecca looked up again and gazed deep into amelia's eyes. it was silent for a moment as she watched her face. there was youth, spirit, love, and passion buried deep within her. after any months of studying people at the school, rebecca mastered the art of reading people through their faces. but, she had never seen anyone like the girl sitting beside her. there was a strength in her that surpassed anything she's ever seen in her past flings. they were full of passiona nd heat and temptation, but they were weak in substance.
she saw the question amelia asked and felt relief wash over her mind. talk. that was somehting they could do. rebecca turned and crossed her legs beneath her so she could face amelia. okay, she said, feeling her own confidence coming back to her, what would you like to talk about? rebecca wanted to eb the one to ask the questions, but it was her that needed to reveal more of herself, so she decided to leave the asking to her girlfriend. thinking that word made rebecca smile to herself. it was nice to have that again.
sorry it's super short.

It wasn't that Amelia didn't desire a physical relationship, she did, just not quite this quickly. The sophomore was inexperianced, kisses and cuddles, that was the extet of her experiance. She needed guidance and patience, something Rebecca could give her. She also firmly believes that every relationship needs to be more then just physical. You have to know and love each other on more then just one level. All successful couples are friends, even if they didn't start out that way. The person you commit your life to should be your best friend, your confident.
The artist readjusted her position so she was cross legged on the sofa and cupped her chin in her hands feining deep thought. Although she wasn't really sure what they should talk about. After a moment though a brilliant idea came to her. Lets play two truths and a lie. It was one of those silly get to know each other games children play at camps. You give three facts about yourself, two are true and one is a lie, everyone has to guess which is the lie. No one could deny the two had feelings for eachother, this wasn't just a hook up, but they had moved at a quick pace. The two girls hardly knew each other and this would be an easy, relaxed, and hopefully fun way to do that. Besides Amelia owned this game. She smiled playfully and brusheed Rebecca's hair behind her ear. You can start, if you want. Maybe it was a childish idea, but it was all she had. Hopefully Rebecca wouldn't laugh in her face. OOC: dont worry about it, mine is even shorter

i know you're scared that i'll soon be over it. that's part of it all. part of the beauty of falling in love with you is the fear you won't fall.
a crease formed between rebecca's eyebrows as she watched amelia's expression, a slight pout on her lips. she wanted to enter the young girl's mind and see what she was thinking over, what made her face fall that way. it ewas fascinating how silebt she was, how silent they became. rebecca smiled a bit when she caught the gleam in her friend's eyes, and she leaned over with her elbows on her knees and her chin, copying the girl across from her. she loved watching this girl, even though it brought her little to nothing from it. but it did bring her joy to know she was this close. she would talk forever if it meant she could talk to amelia.
when amelia suggested the game, rebecca smiled wider and replied, okay. she sat up and thought for a minute. what could she say that amelia could guess at but not know right away. she pondered for a moment while she ran her fingers through her hair. then, she looked into amelia's eyes and said, i've got it. i love science fiction, i have three dogs, and i have the most wonderful girlfriend in the world. the asnwer was kinda obvious; rebecca hated dogs. she only had one cat in her whole life, and she ran away when rebecca was ten. she didn't like puppy breath or picking up doggy doo-doo.

How could Rebecca find Amelia so fascinating? Really she was a very boring person. All she did was sit and draw or point. She wasn't nearly as gifted as Rebecca. Rebecca could light up a room with her presence. Amelia went unnoticed in the background. Yet that shinning light, the girl full of talent, was all hers. Her attention was focused on the insignifigent sophomore.
She smiled watching Rebecca think, how graceful her every movement was. No wonder the older girl had caught her attention. Science fiction? She tried to picture Rebecca at a Star Trek convention. It was a humorous image. Rebecca dressed in those hideous uniforms her right had spilt in a vulcan solute. Amelia smiled at the idea. It didn't seem likely. Three dogs? Maybe if they where teeny, tiny. Like toy cup poodles or something. Girlfriend? Now she was just being silly. Well she had never seen any pictures of the dogs...come to think of it she hadn't seen pictures of anyone in her family. They didn't even talk about each other's families. It was possible and there wheren't any star trek or star gate or star wars posters hanging up. No, there was. She remembered seeing it early when she first came in. Now she woud have to see if Rebecca was hiding any cosplay outfits in her closet. you don't have three dogs? She signed. She also added her own facts. I can't swim, I'm allergic to caramel, and my girlfriend is cuter then yours. It was a tricky question. Not many people knew she was allergic to caramel, she never ate it and just said she didn't like it. The stuff did smell awful. She had been swimming sence she was an infant. They used to have a pool when they lived in her Virginia.
