“It’s been about a year now. Ain’t seen or heard from you..” “Been missing you crazy... How do you, how do you sleep?" Sometimes he wandered why he picked the warmer days to patrol the walks... but it wasn't really patrolling. He found even he got lost on campus sometimes, and was just as late to class as some of his students. They probably counted on that, and got him spun around just so they could get away with that last kiss in the hall they didn't think the teachers saw all the time. Little punks. If he had his say, all the girls would run down the halls in chastity belts and the guys would have.. clamps or something.. Though not painful, he may add. That would suck.
Oh he knew just how well a boy could talk to get what he wanted.. he'd done his fair share of "sweet nothings" and it sometimes didn't reward. Sometimes the circumstances got the best of you, and you would end up empty handed. He snickered to himself rounding the dorms and headed towards the main campus, the front view of the building looming into his line of sight over the few cars that were still parked in the parkinglot. He immediately recognized the principals, as well as some of the janitorial staff's vehicles, and then he spotted his. The beat up eclipse looked like it'd seen better days, and it probably had..
After 20 dings with baseballs flying at 40 mph or higher, you figure he'd learn to park somewhere else, but habits always died hard, and he had a bad habit of parking near the field... Sometimes he questioned his own sanity.. Flipping through the playlist on his ipod, he stopped at the newest addition. It fit perfectly to his usual theme.. How did they sleep.. those that he actually fell for.. I mean.. it was hard for him to fall that hard.. but sometimes, even he didn't brace for the fall..
And then they left him there.. pancaked.. What the hell was he doing wrong!? Just the other week he'd been dumped by this beautiful cuban girl up visiting her rich cousin.. He'd taken her out.. showed her a good time.. She tempted him with handcuffing him.. and then.. it was over before it started. How would he not expect it though. With his lifestyle, it wasn't likely he'd find the girl to settle down with in a bar.. no.. they weren't those types usually.
And the women he worked with weren't bad..
Sadly, though, he didn't hardly know anything about most of them.. Of course, they all knew about him. Eventually, when you're a big enough ladies man, word gets around fast.. So he'd been around with a few women, but none of them had been colleauges.. would that possibly be why they all stared at him more as a peice of flesh then as a man? Oh well, their problem. So he had some habits he needed to stop..
And he really was trying.. it was just hard.. next to impossible for Eric.. He couldn't turn down that cuban when she waved him across to her.. her wildflower scent, and that sultry tan.. It had him when she blinked at him the first time. He paused at the part of the song when Ludacris started wrapping, and broke out in a jog. His apparel was that he'd changed into when his actual block of sophomores came into class.. His day started slow, and by the end, they had him sweating and dodging baseballs.. he'd taken them to the field today..
He had on a dark blue wifebeater, with snow white athletic shorts on. They only made his natural tan show more obviously as he turned on the pavement to head up the hill.. Pressing his body more into the degree of slant, he kicked up his speed to barrell up the hill... When he reached the top, he slowed down, and then kept it as a smooth jog.. however he didn't expect to hit something.. human...
"Oh.. shi-" he stopped mid word to look up at the contact.. Tag: Teacher? Student? Word Count: 780 Status: FINISHED! Lyrics/Song: “How do you sleep” by Jesse McCartney

The walks were quieter for the most part the young sophomore who travled them daily. She knew her way around them easily enough, even without sight. With her furries hidden away in her bag, her eyes, watching around her she moved along heading towards her brother's classroom. She needed her meds, she'd forgotten them at home. So she headed to him knowing he'd have some. He always did.
Lamia wasn't into the whole kissing thing, that would have involoved trust. Something she didn't have any very many people. Mostly that was saved for her brother and Amelia. The pair had be come fast friends. But when it came to men or anyone else really Lamia much pefered to stay clear of just about anyone she could. Today proved no exception to that rule, especially since she wasn't feeling well. Her head was achey and her muscles were sezing up on her which couldn't be a good sign. Already she was sick to her stomach, she needed her brother and her meds.
The whole week had been long and annoying for the teen and it wasn't half over. She wasn't sleeping well and it showed in her school work this past week. All she could do was hope that her teachers didn't notice. But she doubted she'd get luck enough for that. One hand reach up shoving her shades down a bit on her nose as she pinched bridge of her nose. Her eyes shut as tightly as she could as she rubbed the bridge lightly sometimes that helped her head. Sometimes.
Her pace quickened when she heard the sounds of the field, she was close, her brother was just across the field and on the first hall within the doors. Had her head not been pounding she would have felt the paws in her side through her bag. Star was watching where her girl was going. The impact was sudden, she didn't have time to registar what or who had ran into her. She staggered managing to catch herself before she fell. Growling some 'colorful' words in her native tongue as hissed light that flooded her sensative eyes. It was only then did she realize her shades had fallen from her face. With her eyes tightly shut her hand moved around trying to locate them.
"Little help would be nice, after you nearly run me over." She grumbled her Russian accent heavy in her voice. She admitly was shocked when all her words came out in English. But she was more interested in fiding her shades.

“Found the letter you wrote me..” “Still smells just like you.. Damn you're sweet memories.... How do you, how do you sleep?” A soft grunt parted the air he'd been taking in as their bodies met, but he didn't fall.. Instead, he jumped instinctively over her body as it crumbled in front of him, and landed unbalanced on the other side, where he caught himself on his arms, his face inches from the concrete.. The rough scraping of his shoes sounded as she cursed him in a language that was quite familiar.. something a colleague of his sounded like all the time. "Criss.. woah.. Lamia.." He lifted himself from the concrete and dove towards her body on the pavement. Well now he felt like total shit..
Eric's eyes flicked over her quickly for a status check... she was pale anyways.. Maybe she was sick.. Seeing the fresh blood on her knees, where she'd probably met the pavement with, he winced. "Oh.. man.. Criss is gunna kill me.." His accent wasn't too hispanic, but there was a little twist on a few words he spoke that made it more obvious, besides his dark tan and hair, as well as those deep chocolate eyes.. He scanned her face and shook his head.. "What are you doing out here?" he asked, knowing about her inpairment.. but she didn't let it seem like one. No, she was rather headstrong.
Crouching beside her, he grabbed the glasses she seemed to be looking for, and led them to her hands, which were still searching.. When the contact was made, he thought to himself.. Shit.. what was he supposed to do with her.. If Criss found him like this with his sister, he'd throw a Russian temper tantrum. Turning his music off, he let the earbuds hang loose, and then pulled them from the plug, dropping them in his shorts pocket.. "Okay.. we need to get you to the nurse.. you're bleeding.." Well not that it helped much saying that.. she'd probably be better off not knowing that shred of information..
Damn.. he had to do something. It just wasn't right to leave her like this, no way. "We'll get Criss and let the nurse check you out, okay.." he added, seeing the main doors of the high school coming in the distance. He didn't worry about Criss hurting him.. but the level of respect being lost was what scared him the most.. He tossed her a nervous look and shook his head..
She was one of his students, of course, but she didn't really participate in the activities. Instead, he had her drawing or doing homework from other classes, or organizing the medical kit if it needed it. It was really all he could have her do, since anything else could possibly hurt her.. She was a good student too.. The 25 year old felt terrible though, for as big as he was, for plowing into her.. It was horrible thinking about what she was possibly thinking at impact.. and how he'd not even seen her.. Sheesh..

Lamia growled where she crouched a moment as if deciding if she even wanted to get up or just stay down there until her breath came back to her. At the moment was winded an simply didn't want to move at all. Her hand went to her bag pressing lightly against it. Feeling the paws of both her furries within she let a weak unseen smile spread across her face. They were okay. She started to shove herself up but the voice made her pause. 'Criss' She breathed her brother's name hardly over a whisper then the voice registered in her mind. "Mr. Hernandez?" She asked. Her voice low just heard. Lamia didn't feel well at all and having the breath knocked from her body didn't help.
She felt his eyes on her she didn't complain as she still trailed her hand along the grass her eyes burned to much to be any use to her. The small rim of shapes and blur she normally saw had closed the second her head began to pound as it was. Her hands only found rocks and gravel. Muttering a few more colorful Russian words under her breath not at him just at the situation. "He won't kill you.." She told him lightly. If she hadn't felt like crud warmed over she might have laughed at that. Lamia didn't know she was bleeding. The sting air on the small gash on her knee hadn't yet hit her through her pounding head. "It's the quickest way to my brother.. My meds are at home.. but he has spare." She replied her words getting jumbled, losing some context as her accent came out heavily. She put one hand over her eyes shielding them from the sunlight as she continued her search.
The sound of him moving was heard, yea now her other senses decided to work. As her hand touched his she almost pulled hers away, but didn't as he thumb fell upon her shades. Taking them from him she quickly moved her other hand away from her eyes as she shoved her shades back into place. Criss was over-protective to some, but Lamia was use to it, she adored her brother for it so didn't see his temper as anything bad. She looked towards the sound of Mr. Hernandez's voice. Her eyes where still beyond blurred she couldn't make out his form. "I'm fine.." She started to protest, but his telling her she was bleeding she gave a light his through her teeth, and finally sighed giving in to him with a nod. She wasn't fine. The dark haired Russian wasn't even in the vicinity of fine. Bracing herself she, she pushed up onto the balls of her feet lingering there a moment.
Biting her tongue hard enough to fill the point of her slightly pointed 'canine' teeth there. She could feel her hands shaking her fists clinched as she forced herself then to her feet and to a standing position. "Just get my brother please?" She asked, nodding lightly when his words followed. Good he'd get her brother. That's all she wanted right now really, he could patch her up. But here there were certain guidelines that had to be followed.
Lamia had the ultimate excuse from physical education. She rather enjoyed the solitude and freedom, being able to work on assignments are just write for herself. Or organizing the med kit. Never did she expect to be the one needed it. PE wasn't something she would have taken had she had a choice, but being as it was required to graduate, though one would think considering her impairment they'd make an exception somewhere. Today especially, the impact today, with as bad as she felt was like being hit by Criss' bike. If not worse. That was why she'd lingered so near the ground. He didn't need to feel bad, she hadn't seen or heard him either, lost to much in her thoughts and aches.
"I can walk.. just help me please.." She answered keeping her bag held close in front of her chest. Glad that she hadn't had it there earlier. Lamia wasn't use to accepting help or even asking for it. She was stubborn like her brother, having learned it from him. So being set in the ways of her older brother and her heritage being Russian in the temper that was often associated with it, didn't help in her willingness to accept outside help. But sometimes, you just have to accept.

“It’s been about a year now… Ain’t seen or heard from you..” “Been missing you crazy.. How do you, how do you sleep?” She sounded horrible.. like she was going to die any second. He felt really bad at the way she sounded, but to know he'd just plowed her over didn't make him feel any better, you know. He sighed softly, wincing as she pulled herself to stand, and stared at her knee for a minute.. He listened to her words in Russian, somewhat deciphering what she was saying thanks to Criss' explanations ever so often. At her demand to get Criss, he went to take off, but then she asked for his help.
This was weird..
Lamia never asked for his help, but I guess when you're leg hurts, you're feeling sickly, and you cant see, you kind of want everyone's help in a situation like this. He nodded and made sure she could tell he was beside her, knowing she had these other senses other then her eyes that could help. If she knew where he was going, she could easily follow. He blinked slowly and walked beside her, his every step calculated and careful so she could follow.
"Man, Lamia, I'm so sorry.." He shook his head, his spanish accent light on his words... Tag: Lamia & Criss Word Count: 289 Status: FINISHED! Lyrics/Song: “How do you sleep” by Jesse McCartney

Lamia felt as bad as she sounded. Normally she wouldn't allow herself to show her pain quite so openly at least to anyone but her brother. The teen wasn't in any risk of dieing anytime soon. She simply didn't feel well and wasn't in the mood to try and fake it. Her Russian words were harsh curse words that she prayed no-one ever figured out. Criss was more apt to really curse he'd picked up their father's harsher habit. Lamia always wanted her brother, she'd asked Eric to go get him. But when she realized likely get to the nurse when she felt like her world was spinning.
It was weird for her too.
Asking for help from anyone but Criss, wasn't something Lamia did often. She truly though did feel bad. Her world was spinning, her eyes were blurred on good days, but right now she was almost totally blind the was a dark blur before her eyes that blocked out everything else. When Lamia felt his presence beside her she pushed herself to her feet slowly. She could tell by his steps he was close as she followed. It was only as she started walking that she felt the sting on her leg. He was right she was bleeding she could feel it trickle down her leg and it clinging her jeans to her leg.
"It is okay. I was not paying attention." She replied softly. His accent came out a bit in his word, she hadn't really noticed before. She assumed he was Hispanic but he didn't have the thick accent she'd heard others use.
Shoving one hand into her pocket she text easily enough to her brother, only because of the braille 'bumps' on the keys. 'At the nurse.. bring meds..' was the text only it was written in 'Russian English'.

“It’s been about a year now… Ain’t seen or heard from you..” “Been missing you crazy.. How do you, how do you sleep?” Eric gave a curt nod, though he didn't really know why since she probably couldn't see him. Most of the time, as she'd told him before, it was usually like tunnel vision unless she was sick. Then it was black. He sighed softly to himself and then tossed a look to her as they walked up the ramp, his decision to skip the stairs probably a good one. She was texting? Probably telling Criss to meet them in the nurses office. Holding the door open for her, he allowed her to step inside with their slow pace, and then opened the second set, allowing her into the front of the building. Peering into the nurses room, he cleared his throat.
"Uhh.. hello?" There was a scuffling noise, followed by a squeak of a chair, and then tapping of heels as the nurse rounded the corner, smiling. When she saw the blood stain forming on the knees of Lamia's jeans, she nodded and walked around Eric to lead Lamia in. Eric dropped himself into one of the chairs, glad the nurse worked all day. It wasn't quite over yet, two more hours, but it was getting closer. Tapping his hands on his thighs, he waited for Criss to arrive...
Which would probably be soon... Tag: Lamia and CrissWord Count: 308 Status: FINISHED! Lyrics/Song: “How do you sleep” by Jesse McCartney

Tunnel vision was about right, on good days she could see blurred forms or movement but couldn't always make out quite what the movement was. But when she was sick, more so a full on migraine to the point a seizer wasn't far behind. Then it was pitch black. If it weren't for the fear that she'd fall she wouldn't have minded having it totally pitch black. Lamia trailed one hand along the wall listening to Eric's footsteps closely she could judge where he was by sound. She didn't realize he knew she was texting but it didn't matter, what was the worry if she text him too? She didn't know where the nurse's office was so it was a good thing Eric did. Lamia moved though the door easily enough. Her body was numb so she wasn't really feeling pain. Which right now was both a gift and a curse.
For a second she thought he was talking to her but didn't speak. Soon after the nurse moved. Lamia gave a faint smile that she didn't feel at all as the nurse helped her to one of the benches with the crinkly paper. "What on earth did you do to yourself Lamia?" The nurse asked only knowing the teen's name through her brother. "Do not know exactly.." Lamia answered softly. Her ear focused more on the door as she waited for the sound of her brother's familiar footsteps.
"Do you have you medicine with you hun?" The nurse asked her. "No Criss is coming with." Lamia answered. "Okay." The nurse replied looking to the teen's knee. Her jeans were already ripped a little likely from whatever had cut her. The scrap was looked to be nothing more than her landing on a rock. Pulling out a drawer, from the near by plastic storage drawers, she grabbed a big brown bottle of peroxide and fished a cotton ball from a jar within the drawer. Getting a little peroxide on the cotton she spoke. "This may sting a little Lamia." The teen nodded only slightly in reply. The peroxide didn't sting, but she wasn't really feeling much of anything right now. With her eyes closed, hidden behind her dark shades as she wanted for her brother, smiling lightly when she heard his footsteps and something else. The light jingle of his keys, that always signaled her brother's arrival. "Criss." She whispered softly a smile curling lightly over her lips.

In his classroom Criss talking about how the classical composers of the past had lead to the creation of rock. Most of the students were into it. Criss always tried to make his lectures as far from boring as he could. He went on with his lesson really getting into his lesson as he always did. Suddenly though he felt his pocket vibrate, shifting from his position atop his desk, with one knee pulled up to his chest, pulling his cell out reading the text. He read it again. "Uh, I have to go. Sorry. If I'm not back ten minutes you all can leave. Write down the notes an do your homework for the next class." He said sending a quick reply back to Lamia then shoving his cell back into his pocket jumping of the desk he grabbed his leather jacket from his chair and reached into his bag pulling out Lamia's bottle of meds, then headed out throwing on his jacket as he walked.
He stopped along the way quick enough to grab a bottle of water in case she didn't have any with her. Reaching the nurse's office he jingled his keys lightly out of habit as he neared her.
Criss' dark eyes scanned room falling first to Eric then to his sister. "Hey, Eric giving my lil sister a hand?" He asked assuming that was why he was here. Then looked to his sister. "Here Lamia." He said walking to her sticking his hand into his pocket pulling out her pills from within the jacket opening the bottle he caught Lamia's hand gently in his letting her dose drop into her hand, then opened the bottle of water putting it in the other.

“It’s been about a year now… Ain’t seen or heard from you..” “Been missing you crazy.. How do you, how do you sleep?” Eric practically jumped at the sound of Criss's voice suddenly entering the atmosphere. He smiled faintly as Criss went to give Lamia her medicine. He was a great brother, and Eric found himself admiring his attitude in life. At least he had a positive outlook most of the time... or so it seemed from Eric's point of view. Eric on the other hand was pretty bitter and unwilling to do anything other than complain lately it seemed. He sighed softly as Lamia seemed to be taken care of and went to stand.
He gave Criss another look, and laughed.
"Well, actually, I was the one who knocked her over. I'm really sorry man.. I was jogging, looked around, and I honestly didn't see her..." He tried to be an upbeat, respectable guy but sometimes it just didn't work. Something about Criss and Lamia, however, told him they weren't going to judge him on his usual foggy outlook. In fact, they seemed to ignore his flaws all together and look at him as just another person. Talk about eye opener. Offering a hand shake to Criss, he smiled. "I'm glad I could get her back here though, to help out. She's tough." In all his years, he'd never been fortunate enough to have a friend like Criss or a student like Lamia. They were much alike, and Eric found it fascinating to work with them in anything.
Laughing, he stopped at the door and gave a look to lamia. With a bandage over her knee, she looked a little better off, but she still looked sickly. It'd probably take a while for her meds to kick in. "I'll do anything to help. It's mostly my fault anyways, besides the medicine. Really, it's no trouble Criss." He would help, because this was his off period before gym. He still had a little time left to get her settled somewhere. Tag: Lamia and Criss Word Count: 420 Status: FINISHED! Criss noticed Eric jump a little, when he spoke. But didn't look as though he'd noticed as he moved to his sister. Besides she was his priority. Though he honestly hadn't meant to startle him, even if he'd just walked without a word it would have been a shock, that and rude too. When it came to Criss he was rather mellow and down to Earth. It took quite a lot to make him angry, unless it came to his sister then he was rather growly almost like a momma bear with it's young.
Nodding lightly at the look and laugh Criss gave a light smile then looked to his sister.
As Eric spoke Criss glanced to him liistening. Criss nodded again, "No worries, Lamia could knock herself over when she's like this." Criss replied as his felt a foot touch his leg in a soft kick. He turned to face his little sister. She looked rather sullen. "Sorry Lamia, but it's the truth and you know it." He told her lightly. It was true Criss nor Lamia would judge Eric. They had their days when things were more less 'foggy'.
"As soon as her meds kick in she'll be fine. But if helping would make you feel better.." He offered lightly.

Lamia didn't notice Mr. Hernandez jump. Her head was to busy spinning for to her to take notice of such. Right now her brother held her intrest anways. She was far more serious then he ever would be so him making jokes right now, didn't help but she ignored him because she simply didn't feel like fighting back.
Reaching out she grabbed her brother's hand, smiling light when he gave hers a light squeeze. She did kick him, he deserved it it didn't hurt, but it got his attention. "Does not make better brat." (brother) She grumbled to him but knew he was right. even if she didn't want to admit it or accept the fact that she needed the help.
With her head low Lamia sighed lightly, she wouldn't say anything of Mr. Hernandez helping, the sigh easily could be taken as her just trying to relax herself. And honestly at the moment she wouldn't fight the offered help being as she didn't trust herself at the moment.
