It wasn't a good thing for Lamia to be blind and she wasn't happy that her new friend was, but she was glad the sophomore couldn't see her smiling at her accent. She wasn't laughing in a cruel or mean way, it was sort of cute. She liked watching her form the words so carefully. You'll be the next Shakespear Amelia texted, I'll decorate your play bills if you like lol. It must be difficult to navigate a stage set if you where blind. All the props and decorations would change after every scene. That's a lot to memorize and negotiate around, not to mention the other actors. Even knowing where to look so she would be looking in another person's face. If her character wasn't blind, it would be large shoes to fill.
A child like voice? Amelia would rather imagine herself with a sexy voice or at least an adult voice. If she gave Lamia a voice...it would be bold. Something strong. She ran her finger over the blue grey cat's pointed ear before resuming her normal scratching. She looked up at the sky, it was beginning to grow dark with strom clouds. Did the forcast call for rain today? Hopefully not, she didn't feel like walking back to her dorm in the rain, Star wouldn't like that either. Not wanting to miss Lamia's reply she looked back at her friend's face. OOC:ugh sorry my muse has died

Being blind for Lamia was truly a gift within a curse. Sometimes good sometimes bad. In this moment she wouldn't have minded being able to see clearly. Had she, she certinally wouldn't have minded Amelia laughing at her accent. She'd heard people lauging before at her. An' rudely too. The Russian had heard it all. She didn't mind, to much. "Shakespear ah, we shall see. Few years to be for that.." She replied with a smile then added, "Yes yes, that would be fun." She agreed. Lamia had acted before, it was harder, but she could usually tell where a person was by their voice. As for the moving sence and dercoration that was the hader part. On stage she couldn't often find a way to keep her furries with her, soin those moments she truly was in the dark.
The only reason Lamia thought childlike for Amelia was because she assumed the girl was innocent, like not hearing had maybe spared her some of the harsher words and sounds that were often thrown about. Just in the same way that Lamia was innocent for things she had not seen. Star purred under Amelia's hand, but her eyes too cast towards the sky. Her tail flicking hitting the bench hard enough to be heard. Lamia touched the cat's tail lightly, as she too looked to the sky as if she saw. Breathing in deeply she could almost smell the coming ran. "If the rain come, my brother is just across here." Lamia pointed to the doors not more than a few feet from them. "I have a umberella too, we will not get to wet.. Or if you need back to your dorm. You can borrow or I to come with if like, I do not mind rain." She told Amelia with a smile. She too didn't want their meeting to end, but if rain fell, she doubted either of them would really want to sit out in. Star the least she was feline after all. And like most cats she wasn't fond of water.
.... OOC : Sooo sorry for the delay. RL summons and college, never easy. Hope all is well enough for you. (:
