Amelia shrugged. "Why not." Following him towards the food court, she texted her mom letting her know why she wasn't home yet. Her mother would understand....she'd see the new dress and everything would be fine. Typical mommy. Amy sighed. "Thanks for taking me out." She looked up at him, realizing how tall he was.
She really was glad that he came out with her. It gave her something else to think about. "It took my mind off of things." She smiled. "I guess I didn't realize how much stress I was under, till I just relaxed and had fun." She found a table towards the corner of the food court, and dropped her stuff there.
"What do you want to eat?" She asked looking around at all the places. "I'm so hungry." She laughed softly. Yeah. She wasn't the typical girl. She really didn't mind eating in front of guys. She could eat a horse and not care. If they cared about how she ate, then clearly they had some issues. Besides...what boy didn't like a girl that could eat? They had to be crazy if they didn't!
Amy had completely forgotten about her Romeo and Juliet assignments now. She had to go hom and read through the rest of Act 4. But then she remembered that Alex offered to "tutor" her. So maybe after school the next week he could help her. That would mean that she could hang out with him again. Having a guy friend like him made things alot easier on her. Because now, she could talk to him about what guys were good guys or even learn to play football....yeah. That'd be something to see.

He tossed a look towards the "Pizza Hut" sign, and then laughed.. "But feel free to get whatever you want.. I'm craving cheese.." At her words of thanks, he held up a hand.. "Nah.. it's no problem.. Everyone needs to get out every once in a while, and I'm glad I could help you with that.." He stopped in line behind a woman and her little girl, the little girl probably about 6 or 7... She was staring at him, a wide grin on her face, her mother on the phone and not paying any attention.
He gave her a wink, and she giggled, shyly looking away..
"But yeah.. it's no problem.." he added, eyes still on the little girl, though he directed his comment to Amelia with a sideways glance.. He'd just rememebered that he'd said he'd help her with her Romeo and Juliet. Well he really didn't have a problem with that at all, but then again, it was something he'd have to run by Arizona too. He was a believer in full honesty, no matter what the situation. He planned on living that up with Arizona as well. When the line moved forward, he followed, and then crouched down to look at the little girl. She held her hand out for him, and he took it..
"And what's your name?" The woman smiled down at him when she noticed, and went right on talking.. "Kristyyy.." He laughed.. "Well that's a pretty name Kristy.. My name is Alex.. and it's very nice to be sharing this line with you.." She smiled again, and leaned forward to whisper something in his ear.. He smiled, and then she kissed his cheek.. Standing up, he grinned at Amelia..
"Apparently, I'm the king of Pizza, and she is my queen, and you are the princess, because she wants to marry me first.." He laughed, and then shrugged, looking back down.. "Well thank you, my queen. Enjoy your pizza.." he added, when her mother picked her up and began ordering what they were getting..
