`I'M TAKING A CHANCE, LETTING YOU INSIDEPOSITIVE TRAITS
- outgoing - this girl is the oposite of her sister on a few levels, she isn't afraid to speak her mind and just walk up to someone and say something to them. she just enjoys being around people.
- charismatic - she has a way with people, she can work a crowd and make others feel comfortable around her.
- natural born leader - this could be a good thing or a bad thing, she likes to be in charge. easy as that. as a kid, she usually would take charge of her older siblings, or at least try. this made her eldest sister tend to not like her simply because of the fact.
- smart - this is book smart, street smart, take your pick. she is smart in the ways of the farm that she grew up on, she is smart in different types of liquor from her past year or so, and she's smart in the subject that she loves.
- athletic - you'd be amazed what chasing a bunch of sheep and chickens around can do for your athletic ability. she loves to run, swim, jump up and down, anything to get some of her youthful energy out.
- loyal - she won't abandon a friend, it's just not in her ability. she will stand by them even if it means that she will take the fall for something.
- dedicated - she loves photography, she could never give it up, but, her dedication stretches farther than that, if you give her a task, she will go through with it until it's done.
NEGATIVE TRAITS
- slight drinking problem - although its getting a lot better, she used to drink a lot more than she should have. she got in tight with the wrong crowd and started the pesky little habit and now it's a bit hard for her to stop altogether.
- her name - people just don't get that her name isn't alexandra, don't call her that. she will argue with you for hours upon end if you get it wrong.
- temper - she has a slight temper, one that she gained growing up, it takes a bit to piss her off, but when you do, she lets it be known.
- procrastinator - just because she's smart doesn't mean she does all her homework and such on time. hell no, she'll procrastinate right up until the very last minute.
- party girl - she loves a good party, likes to hang out with the popular crowd even if she doesn't completely fit in with them.
- pack rat - she can't throw anything from her past away. she has all sorts of random crap that she doesn't really need anymore, most of it's just trash or stuff that holds some sort of memory for her, good or bad.
LIKES
- photography - obviously. she's loved photography for her entire life, always taking some picture one way or another, even if it's just candids at a family reunion, she's always the girl behind the camera.
- music - generally rock or country, she likes to listen to it, can barely play it, but, she's working on it.
- being outside - if she can be outside in the open air, then she's good. just one of the perks about growing up on a farm i guess.
- bugging her sister - typical, no? she just enjoys to bug her older sister.
- johnny depp - haha, yes, ever since the pirates movies, she's been in love with the pirate himself. not like, a real love, just your usual teenage fandom.
DISLIKES
- smoking - she tried it for a while and now cannot stand it. doesn't like it when people around her smoke or even when they smell like smoke.
- chickens - they irk her, they're all feathery and they're evil. yeah, she and chickens don't mix.
- car alarms - yes, she does see the point in them, but, alex also just wishes they would beep for a little while and then shut off, not beep for the entire day. beeeeeep beeeeeep beeeeep. it irks her.
- feeling depressed - again, been there, done that. she doesn't like to feel down, it's just like a needle in her side. whenever she feels even remotely down, she has to figure some way to get cheered up again.
- cheating - she's worked hard to keep her grades where they are, and she doesn't like it when people take credit for her work. it's like stealing, only generally, they don't get caught.
HOPES AND DREAMS make everything right in her life. she wants to stop drinking and make peace with her sister, sort of. it ain't going to happen for a while though, she still has some mischief up her sleeve for the time being.
fall in love. typical. but yes, she wants to find her other half.
make it big in the photography world. if just a few people out in the real world can recognise one of her pictures, then she will be happy as a duck in water.
FEARS fireworks misfiring. an odd fear, yes, but, she's always afraid that she's going to get hit by a firework.
getting used. she is always afraid that someone is going to take advantage of her careless personality one way or another.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
long brown hair and eyes that range from brown to blue, hazel is it called? well, that's what you see when you see dear alexandrina. standing at about 5'6", she's neither tall nor short, she's just the right height for her perky attitude. usually, she keeps her long brown hair down, but, she's been known to braid it at times, generally leaving her bangs down no matter what though. her fair skin, much like her sisters, has a nice slight tan over it from all the time she spends out doors, but, it won't get much darker than that. but, clothing wise, her tom-boy edge still shows sometimes, but mainly in the fact that she'll never wear a skirt or a dress. she likes to wear jeans, as always, but, with shirts, it varies.
`AS DEEP AS THE SKY, UNDER MY SKINHISTORY autumn of 1992, gia and christopher lee, along with their other two daughters, elizabeth and oliva, were all looking at the newest addition to their family. alexandrina, an odd name to give to a girl in a farm family, but, their father had insisted upon it. he'd come across it while reading. everyone had known he'd wanted a son, a son to take over the farm when he was gone, someone he could relate to in this family of women, but, instead, he'd gotten another girl. in truth, alexandrina meant curse. but, the little baby girl couldn't help any of that.
for the first few years of her life, she was talkative, eager to live and learn, but, no matter what she did, she couldn't seem to get her father's attention. chris always just seemed to look away. so, she'd help her mom with the chickens and any baby animals, anything that seemed safe for the little toddler alexandrina. but, she always looked up to her older sisters, both of which seemed so close to their father.
when she turned five, though, she finally asked her father, quite bluntly, why he hated her. chris shook his head and with a soft smile said that he didn't hate her. he didn't realise that she'd thought that about him, but, that night, she heard her mother arguing with him that she couldn't believe he'd take his disappointment out on her, telling him he had no right to name one of their daughters curse. from then on, things seemed to be a little different, chris taught all the girls different things all the time, how to work the farm effectively, and her mother called her grace. but alex loved this, she loved being outside and playing with the younger animals and she also liked having her mother's nickname.
as the youngest lee girl grew, she gradually started getting her own personality, she would take charge a little more, becoming something of a bully around her two older sisters, all the years of being treated like a baby coming out. she would argue a little more, simple things, but, all the while, staying under her parent's radar. her father taught her the things that neither of the other two girls could be bothered with. things that a father would usually teach a son. things like checking the fence for breaks, or fixing pipes and such. oddly enough, alex liked doing things like this, she would get to get up early and go looking for things to fix with her father.
when she was in school, her sisters both warned her that the other kids would probably do the same thing that they'd done to them, make fun of her for living out on a farm, liking to get down and dirty, things like that, but, instead, when alex showed up for school, she started hanging out with the guys, they picked on her at first, but the accepted her as one of the guys. this mainly irked her eldest sister, but, alex just brushed it off, living her life as normal.
as time went on, alex and elizabeth always butted heads, never really seeing eye to eye, alex holding herself a little higher than her sister. so when her sister went off to college when she was in fifth grade, alex waved goodbye with a smile across her face. back on the farm though, she discovered something, photography. all brought on when her grandfather came to visit them for christmas one year. with him, he brought his old camera, a very old black and white camera. alexandrina picked it up and he showed her how to use it, it was then that she discovered the thrill of photography. looking at the world through a camera was just so different than just looking at a hill and seeing a hill.
her grandfather taught her a few things actually, he taught her how to use a camera, how to develop the film, how to play the fiddle, and different constilations. she looked up to her grandfather, and when he and her father were around, it was a fun time. they would sit around and joke about chris' childhood, and talk about this and that, and that was one of the few occasions that alex was allowed to sit around outside with the adults around a fire past her bedtime.
when he passed away a year later, he left her that camera. to this day, she still has it, taking it out only for special occasions. but, between school and farm work, she found only limited time to work on her hobby, and it was also then that she started heading down the wrong path. the guys that she'd gone to school with for years would teach her things that a 10 year old girl really didn't need to know, like how to throw a really good punch, how to stand your ground during a fight, how to jump a fence, things like that.
things got better once her mother forced her to not hang out with them anymore, but, she didn't like that alternative, so, instead, she just interacted with them less, focusing on her studies again. and when she turned thirteen, under the recommendation of her art teacher at her school and her parents, she applied for a spot at the chicago school of performing arts as a photography student. it wasn't until late november of her freshman year that she was accepted, and the following summer, she packed up her belongings, kissed her mom and dad goodbye, gave the animals a final pat and stepped away from the farm and into city life in chicago.
the beginning of her sophomore year was fun, she was an oddity, she was from tennessee, and yet, she liked to be around people, people liked her, she was popular. but somewhere in all the parties that she would get invited to, she started drinking. it was just a beer here and there at a party, and then it turned into a few each party, and before she knew it, she realised that the group she was hanging out with was probably not the best one to be around, they were almost always drunk or high, not her though. she had her usual problems, having a few too many drinks when hanging out with them, having a cigarette a few times a week, sneaking in some drink to class, occasionally getting high with them, things like that.
but, by the end of the year, her fun came to a crashing halt when she and the rest of her friends got busted drunk on campus after the end of the year dance. when they were all finally dragged back into the headmaster's office the following day, alexandrina actually begged for them not to expel her, and they held one thing over her head.
it was that day that she found out that her sister was going to be a student teacher here the following year, they knew that because of that little fact, alex was going to be a little bit more cautious. or at least, they thought that. but, that one little run in made alex take a step back from all the alcohol, she'll still have a drink here and there, but, she tries not to get drunk quite so often.
now it's her junior year, her sister is here, and some skeletons are being shoved into the closet, but, she still has plans for her junior year, most of them just involve being sober, but, the girl still has her old spirit, so, now that she wants to move in with her older sis, who knows what'll happen.
