To start off, it's me, Noelle, I just didn't feel like changing accounts xD LoL
Okay so, I've been in a major graphics mood lately and I got inspiration today for a new skin. To make things clear, it is NOT replacing the skin we have up now! I like this skin too much to replace it xD I'm going to try to set up the headers/footers for different skins thing so we can choose between skins. I thought that would be cool.
I started working on the new skin a little bit ago, and so far I like it. I thought that I would put the link to my skin tester in here then for you guys to stop by and see it too. There is a thread set up for you to leave comments about it as well, like if you think anything should be changed or added or whatnot. Let me know what you think (:

Keep in mind that some of the old skin is still in there at the moment xD Like the purple table around the forum, that is not part of the new skin. |

personally, i like it, you might, and this could be where you mentioned the whole, bits of this skin are in there part, but, you might consider changing the like, otm/staff images if/when you change the skin. they just don't fit quite right in with the other one. =] other than that though, ¡muy caliente!

Oh yeah, I know that they don't fit xD They are going to be changed. Every image from the old skin will be changed, I just haven't gotten through them all yet.

Noelle : Love your siggy for Noelle, that one is lovely. Jess is beautiful.. ;p Radom aside.
Color wise I love it the dark rough part is good for the newer 'city' But I'm with you on the line background, to me with my migraines lines move sometimes.. scrolling bgs an such if that makes sense. Maybe use those colors but not the lines? Or just add a new skin, but keep the current one so that way people can change to the other one if they like.. Hope that make sense. But over all I truly love it, the colors and the feel of it I love it all. Can't wait to see it all finished. (:

I'm still on the fence about the lines...they go so well but at the same time they can be distracting. And that is what I'm going to try to do, keep the original skin so people can switch back and forth as they please. But, for things to not look weird, I have to figure out a complicated headers/footers thing first xD |

So, here is whats up everyone. I tried to figure out the Different Headers/Footers for Different Skins code so we would be able to switch back and forth between skins and the images would switch too so the skins wouldn't look weird. I tried this on another site, not on here xD LoL. Still though, the code is a pain in the backside and it may take me a bit to get things sorted out right. I was able to put the code in fine, but organizing the headers and footers so everything looks right is another story...
So, here are some options that I had in mind. We can just keep this skin for nw until I figure the code out, or we can switch to the other skin while I figure the code out. If we choose the later, this skin will still be in the list, but its header/footer images won't be in so if you were to choose this skin over the other one it wouldn't match. Hopefully that all made sense.
What is everyone's opinion? |

I don't claim to know anything major about HTML. But isn't it just a mater of creating a new skin? I know on my sites we had a few skins, and I've seen others that had several.
Now on my sites, I never touched the coding, I'm sure the internet would emplode, but I can look at CT or Boca and see for you but really I think if you just create a new skin sperate from the 'Purple' one it should switch totally between the two. But again I'll snoop around in the 'Kit forbidden' section of my two sites and see if can find anything useful. ;p ~Kit

No, its different from just creating a new skin because I have the sidebar filled with images for this skin and a bunch of other stuff in the headers and footers for this skin. But, for the city skin, the headers and footers are very different. If I were to change this to the city skin but not change the headers and footers, then the table around the forum and all of the images in the sidebar would still be left from the old one. What I want to do is get the code to work that allows the images to change when you change the skin.
