melanie and i met when we were in oil painting together. at first, she looked like a preppy, cheerleader-in-her-DNA, snobby girl like many other blondes i've encountered here. but she turned out to be a sweet and very intelligent girl. sure, melanie was stubborn and quite clumsy, but she had this glow around her that sucked people in. and like most girls i meet at this school, she was pretty. although we rarely talked outside of class and we stopped seeing each other altogether when my time in the class ended, i still say hello to her in halls every so often.
