HOPES AND DREAMS Scar would like to learn how to walk again and possibly do gymnastics again. Also to be able to turn his ideas into movies, and to have his parents understand him.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTIONScar is a very... different looking person. Since he was a baby, he'd been doing everything possible to rebel against his all-american parents, so on his sixteenth birthday he got one of his friend's mom to get his lip pierced in snakebites. He cut his hair into a 'emo' style and dyed it dark. He even goes as far a lining his bright blue eyes with black eye-liner sometimes. Normally, he is clad in skinny jeans and a tight t-shirt or V-neck, with skate shoes. Scar stood 5'9", but now he is confined to a wheelchair. Sometime Scar wears glasses when he is too lazy to put in his contacts
`AS DEEP AS THE SKY, UNDER MY SKINHISTORY Scarden Jude and his twin brother Raine Dawson were born on December 21, 1991, to Alan and Jonna Synclair. The Synclairs were a large family, with the twins, there were eleven kids. Ten boys: Taivian, Krystof, Koit, Ryker, Schulyer, Jetmir, Kristjan, Gedeminas, Scarden and Raine. One girl, Zora. Jonna was born and raised in Estonia and Alan was born and raised in England. The two met while Alan was on a job in Estonia and five months later they were married, then nine months after that, out popped Taivian. Over the next sixteen years the family continued to grow, and travel between Estonia and England. Then, when Scarden and Raine were four, Alan got a job offer and the huge family packed up and moved across the pond to California.
In California, life continued as normal. Alan and the older boys discovered American football, which soon became a family sport. Even though Scar was only four, he was already rebelling. One day when Jonna took him to pick up Zora from gymnastics, he decided he wanted to be a gymnast. To the Synclair's, gymnastics was a girl's sport, but Scar wouldn't shut up until they agreed to sign him up for classes, and it turned out, he was pretty good.
As Scar grew, he continued to rebel and separate himself more and more from his family. Scar did have a very privileged childhood. Alan had a very well paying job and both Alan and Jonna had inherited a lot of money, but just because he had money, didn't mean his was happy. He always felt that he didn't fit, which was actually rather true. Every one of his brothers were the cool jocks of the school who got all the girls and bullied the weird kids. Scar on the other hand was a smart, "emo", male gymnast, who was always seen with a video camera.
Being his rebellious self, when he started realizing that he didn't feel the same way for girls that his brothers did, he figured it was just another thing his self conscious cooked up to rebel against his homophobic parents, but when the feelings didn't go away, he realized that he actually was gay. Scar kept this to himself for a while, knowing the trouble it would cause. One day, when he was sixteen, he was at gymnastics practice and, Raine borrowed his laptop and found a screenplay he had been writing about a gay gymnast from a religious family. Raine immediately told their parents, who confronted Scar as soon as he arrived home. Scar admitted that he was gay and his parents broke down, unable to accept it.
A week later, it was pouring rain after gymnastics, and his parents refused to come pick him up, claiming that "walking will man you up." So Scar was forced to trudge down the side of the road with his gym bag slung over his shoulder and his hood pulled over his head. The sound of the rain was so loud that he didn't hear the speeding car coming up behind him. Scar turned just in time to see a drunk-looking man behind the wheel, then he felt the front of the car collide with him, sending him up over the hood then flying into the ditch on the side of the road, and then the car sped off. Scar lay unconscious in the ditch for hours until a search and rescue team found him and rushed him to a hospital.
He awoke two days later in a hospital bed. His memory was foggy and he didn't remember the past two weeks, including telling his parents he was gay and his parents never mentioned it so he amuses that they still don't know. Happy ending? Wrong! His spinal cord was damaged; he was paralyzed from the waist down, meaning no more gymnastics. Over the next year he was in and out of surgeries and physical therapy. His parents, feeling guilty that they made him walk home that night, allowed him to come to the Chicago School of Performing and Visual Arts to try to boost his spirits and get him to take his mind off of gymnastics.
