Arizona needed something to do. Anything. She was bored out of her skull just sitting here in her dorm room actually doing her homework, she wasn't expecting anyone to call, so her phone was on her desk, and her iPod was playing through the speakers that sat right by her head. But she, she was laying on her bed, her green eyes trying to gouge holes into the celling. So far, it wasn't working. She needed to get out and do something. Now, the only question was, what? Looking out the window, she saw that the sun was setting, or beginning to set, which meant unless she went to a club, some of the places would be beginning to empty out. A considering look came onto her face as she thought about this. Finally with a sigh, she rolled off her bed, landing on her feet, and picked up her letter jacket, keys, iPod, and phone. She didn't really know where she was going, all she knew was, was that she was going somewhere.
Climbing into her black Nissan Titan, she pondered once more for a minute and then decided. Why not go out to the lake and just relax? Reaching over, she plugged her iPod in and turned on the radio, spinning to one of her favourite playlists, she let the music fill the empty space in her car. Putting the truck in drive, she pulled out of the student lot and began to make her way towards Lake Michigan, her window rolled down, letting the nice temperatures replace the airconditioner. It was a nice night.
When she reached the lake, she found a place to park, and then collected her stuff again, but this time, she reached into the consol and pulled out her Cannon camera. Hey, she was a photography student, what else do you expect? Checking to make sure it was alive, she climbed out of the truck and locked it behind her and then turned to look at the lake. Although she'd read about it in class at Proclivity, she'd never believed it was as massive as they'd all said. But, she couldn't even see the other side, much less the other end. This thing was huge! But, the sand looked nice, so, taking off her converse and socks, she tied their laces in a not and tossed them over her shoulder so she wouldn't have to deal with them as much as if she'd just kept them in her hands.
As she walked, she couldn't help but laugh, the sand squeaked. It wasn't something she'd seen before. It amused her. But, she wanted to just put her feet in the water and look up and see if she could see some of the starts. Finally, she spotted what looked promising. A large stone that was right on the edge of the water, it even jutted into the dark waters by a couple of feet, two yards at most. And they said everything was bigger in Texas? Clearly they'd never been here. Walking out onto the stone, she sat down and let her feet dangle into the water, it was cold, ice cold, but it was a nice change in things. Leaning back, she propped herself up on her elbows and just looked up to the sky, she could actually see some of the stars, it amazed her. With an easy smile, she just sat there, listening to the soft chirps of crickets, and watching the stars.

Analeigh let her hair down as she continued munching on a cinnamon pretzel. She wasn't all that sure why she was still outside. It was getting late, but the whole day had been so nice she just didn't care that she spent the whole day out. It was better than being pent up in her apartment. Not that she didn't love her apartment, she did, but it was quiet and only her and Carl there. It often got lonely sometimes and she just couldn't stay there without getting depressed. She even tried to spin it positively sometimes, but there was just somethings you can't replace in life and her family was one of them. If they wanted her or not was something she wasn't sure about, but she wanted to know. Badly.
The wax paper landed in the garbage can as she started walking back to her car. A black Mazda Sudan wasn't sitting too far away, but a shimmer of blonde hair caught her sight. She shrugged it off, thinking it was someone she didn't know. But as her hand landed on her door handle she saw it was Arizona. A sinking feeling in her stomach told her to just go home, but her mind told her opposite and she found herself walking towards her. The lake was black now, instead of the beautiful dark blue it had been early. A light breeze blew by and she stuffed her hands in her valor track suit. It was a baby blue color, comfortable was written all over it, and her swayed at her shoulders.
"Arizona?" Analeigh called out as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear; she didn't want to scare the girl. She wasn't all that sure why she was so keen on talking to the blonde girl either, but it had been ever since she ran into her in the halls at school. It was a big thing that happened, they dropped something- that's it, something about her had had Ana thinking about her past and wondering just where her parents had went after they were realest because it sure wasn't to get her out of the orphanage like she had promised her.
The white sand came up past her shoes and tickled her toes. She came out of her thoughts and back to where she presently was. The big rock that Arizona was sitting on looked comfortable, she mused with a smile flirting with her lips. She stopped walking a few feet away and really put on a smile. Ana didn't know Airzona and this was probable their first real introduction. But standing there, outside, with the lake behind, it didn't seem like the place to say stiff hello's and awkward greetings.
"Nice night," she commented and glanced towards what seemed like endless water. "I'm Analeigh, or Ms. Kendreck, from school," that mouth full had come out quicker than she wanted, but she was pretty sure she knew who she was.

{ohmygosh, I'm so sorry that I've waited about. . . a month to reply to this! -hugs and hands piles of cookies- guess what though, =] I'm back and not plannin on leaving. x] I swear this time. . . lol }
Arizona for a moment thought she'd missed something when she heart footsteps behind her, she hadn't heard them before the person was actually there, that was odd. But when she glanced over her shoulder, no one was there. Okay, that made her feel better, she'd be worried if she'd let something slip through her talent. Hell, it'd scare her so much. So, by the time she'd catalogued who's footsteps they were, she was back to looking out at the huge lake. Arizona? Yup, she'd been right. Miss Analeigh Kendrick. She didn't even have to turn around. Nice night, She nodded slightly, her feet skimming the water with every kick. I'm Analeigh, or Ms. Kendreck, from school, She didn't even turn around. I know who you are. You're the guidance counselor. So, who sent you out here, and what am I getting blamed for, odds are, I didn't do it.
[/b] Turning her head just slightly, she looked over at the teacher, or, actually, did the lady count as a teacher? I mean, she was only in her early twenties. Out in the lake, her eyes spotted the fish that were racing through the shallows nearby, bringing a slight smile to her lips. Judging by the fact that you haven't considered calling someone to drag me back to the school means I'm not in trouble, and usually teachers don't just come up and talk to a girl like me, so why have you?[/b] Her voice was softer at the last part, turning her ivy gaze full onto the counselor. Her parents and teachers had suggested she go talk to 'Analeigh', but, she wasn't really the type of personality that would allow her to. Haha, she was more the type of personality that made it impossible to go ask for help or anything like that, so, she'd steered clear of the counselor's office, with practiced ease for that matter. Because she'd heard that a few of her teachers had actually asked her to call her out of class or something, the whole thing about being a Junior and being taken out of her old school, after being told that she was a freak, and that her family no longer wanted her around. . . yeah, it was no surprise that teachers had talked about her. And yet here stood the sole person she'd worked so hard to avoid. Something was wrong with her plan, clearly. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/sub]
