HOW DID YOU FIND US? Admin
`FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE I'M SCARED TO DEATHFULL NAME Sarah Elizabeth Randall
NICKNAME ----
AGE Twenty-four
GENDER Female
ORIENTATION Straight
STUDENT OR ADULT Both
IF STUDENT: YOUR LEVEL IS College
IF ADULT: YOUR JOB IS Waitress
`I'M TAKING A CHANCE, LETTING YOU INSIDEPOSITIVE TRAITS
- Dependable - Once you get Sarah's trust you are pretty much set for life. She is a great friend and is sure to have your back no matter what. She's not the best conversationalist, but she's an excellent listener.
- Determination - Sarah is determined to get over the events of her past and will do so any way possible. She is working on completing her education and nothing is going to get in the way of that.
- Intelligent - Growing up in a large city gave Sarah the street smart, but she sometimes hates having it. However, her love for books and learning made her book smart. Usually people are one or the other, she was gifted with both.
- Efficient - If you want something done right but don't want to do it yourself, let Sarah do it. She will follow rules and guidelines to a tee and she'll be done either on time or before.
- Independant - Sarah isn't the type of person so ask for help. She would rather wander around the store for two hours looking for something than to ask a clerk. That goes for just about everything else as well.
NEGATIVE TRAITS
- Shy - Sarah is not a very outgoing person and will never make the first approach. If life would permit it, she would spend every waking hour either in her apartment or in the library. However, she needs to make a living somehow so her job waitressing is only slightly breaking her into the real world.
- Untrusting - Given her past, it's not surprising that Sarah has trust issues. It is mostly with the male gender, but just to makes things easier she can be a little sketchy with females as well. It can get kind of annoying since she wants to do everything herself and won't accept help, but that's just how she is.
- Reclusive - Aside from the essential places, Sarah doesn't like going out of the apartment much. She isn't a partier or a very social person, but she's not a hermit either. She just likes to keep to herself.
- Judgemental - Along the lines of untrusting, Sarah is the type of person that the first impression is the one that counts. She will judge someone by her first glimpse of them.
- Word-a-holic - Usually instead of facing problems, Sarah will shove herself deep into her work. She will throw in extra hours at work or hoard away in the library to study for her classes. She wants to be the best she can be, but she just tries way too hard.
LIKES
- Working - Work is one of Sarah's escapes, whether it be her waitressing job or school work. It gives her a sense of pride and accomplishment to know that she is working toward something, rather than just blowing around a lot of hot air.
- School - Sarah loves school because she loves learning. She doesn't have a least favorite subject...okay that's a lie, she isn't the biggest fan of math. But her favorite subject of all time is english and creative writing.
- Animals - Who doesn't love animals? Sarah is a sucker for all furry beings. It's that simple.
- Reading - Reading is Sarah's other escape, and perhaps her favorite one. She loves being pulled into the lives of the characters and taking journeys around the world, and even to other dimensions. Books take her far far away from her own life and sometimes to someplace better, other times not.
- Food - Any person loves to eat, so we won't dwell on this one.
DISLIKES
- Nighttime - Some of her worst experiences with her homecity happened at night and she now hates being anywhere at night. Because she doesn't have a car, Sarah has to walk or take the subway everywhere and if there's anything she hates more than nighttime, it's walking home during it. She always tries to be inside before dark.
- Male Gender - Again, just given her past with men, she doesn't take to them well. I wouldn't say she is afraid of them, but a little hesitant about them.
- Cities - Sarah grew up in a large city so it seems odd that she would dislike them, not to mention she is still living in a city. But she does. They are dangerous places and yet she is drawn to them.
- Hospitals - They just all out give her the creeps.
- Preppy girls - Again this goes with her history with girls of that nature. They are all annoying in general, but the ridicule Sarah faced with them turned her off real easy.
HOPES AND DREAMS Sarah hopes to finally be able to complete her college education that was interrupted a few years back when she was just a sophomore. She also wishes that the terrible events of her past would just disappear and never return, but she can't get rid of her own memories so she is just hoping that she can learn to live with them and that they won't be any more then that, memories. She also wants, someday, to get out of the city and move to a nice suburb or a small town. Her dreams about getting married aren't as vivid anymore as they were when she was younger.
FEARS I mentioned before that Sarah doesn't exactly fear the male gender, but she is apprehensive enough around them to classify it as a fear. She is also clausterphobic. Not to the extent where she will have a panic attack on the subway though. Also mentioned before was her dislike of nighttime, she is afraid of walking anywhere at night by herself. Even with someone she will still be uncomfortable but it won't be as bad as if she were alone.
`FEELING ALIVE ALL OVER AGAINCELEBRITY CLAIM Alexis Bledel
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Being on a college student and on her own, Sarah doesn't have the funds for brand name clothes like Aero or American Eagle, she does her clothes shopping at department stores. She actually prefers them over the more expensive stuff because they are more comfortable. Sarah is a jeans and sneakers person but during the summer she usually wears skirts of sundresses and flipflops. She isn't a real fancy dresser unless she absolutely has to be and doesn't wear makeup unless she is dressing nice. Plus, she is a waitress and has to wear a uniform anyway, there really is no point to putting makeup on for that. She keeps her dark hair shoulder-length or slightly longer and often down with soft curls, but when she works she throws it into a ponytail as is required. The most distingushing feature is her ice blue eyes. They are the first thing most people notice and comment on.
`AS DEEP AS THE SKY, UNDER MY SKINHISTORY Sarah Elizabeth Randall was born to Karen and Michael Randall of Brentwood, Los Angeles, California. Karen was the Assistant Head of School at the private K-12 school Brentwood School while Michael drove the trucks for Fed-Ex Ground. Sarah’s father was away more than he was home, but her mother was also gone during the weeks until about four in the afternoon. During that time, Sarah was taken care of by a nanny or babysitter. As she got older it was not something that bothered her all that much, she just accepted it as part of life. Living in upper-middle class status, the Randall’s did not find the need to exploit their wealth on houses and cars so the family shared a quaint split-level house. Instead, they saved their money for vacations and eventually Sarah’s schooling.
When she was old enough, Sarah was enrolled in her mother’s school, Brentwood. At a very young age, she found a love of learning and was able to make friends with the other students because they shared the same interests and yearnings. Sarah was never really in with the popular kids that were established early on. When the cliques became more defined, she was labeled with the “nerd” group; which the “popular” girls saw as shameful. They often made comments about how Sarah’s looks were wasted on someone who did not properly accentuate them. She often became the target for ridicule and had no idea why. She never talked to those girls unless she absolutely had to and had never done anything to them that she knew of; to make them resent her so much. Therefore, when they did take cracks at her she just learned to ignore it and not let it faze her, which just seemed to anger them.
One afternoon Sarah remained after class to get extra help in her math course, since math was not her strongest subject, and as she was heading out of the school building, she ended up running into another student. Sarah is not one to look at guys, or have a boyfriend, but if you ever wanted to catch Sarah blush over a guy it would be Jason Steeler, the fullback of the football team and the person she happened to run into. She apologized, he apologized, and then they were talking about the math class that they shared and how Jason could use some help with it. Sarah offered to help him after school a few days a week. Even though she did not fully understand it herself, she got more than Jason did and could at least get him through the class with a little higher grade than he was currently receiving. Therefore, for a couple weeks after that, Jason showed up at Sarah’s house to study and gradually they began to get closer. This scared Sarah a little bit, but Jason seemed genuine so she just let things happen naturally. Studying at Jason’s house one day turned into Sarah’s first kiss and progressed to a make-out session and soon his hands were becoming adventurous. The school uniform for the girls was a skirt so Jason found his way underneath it and that was when Sarah drew the line. When Sarah told him to stop Jason seemed a little agitated and refused to, but after some struggling and yelling and hitting, he finally backed off with a bloody nose and Sarah ran all the way home. When she got home the realized that she had left her school things at his house and seriously debated on going back. She did not.
The next day when she saw Jason, he gave her the dirtiest glare she had ever seen and there were whispers among the popular girls, even a few giggles. Sarah never felt so humiliated, degraded, and dirty in all her life. In addition, for the first time ever, she was reprimanded by her teachers for not having her things, somehow that hurt worse then what happened to her the night before. While leaving school that day, Jason stepped in her path and told her he had her things if she wanted to pick them up. Feeling grateful, she agreed to meet Jason as the guys locker-room after football practice since he said that was where he stashed her things for safekeeping. Sarah waited outside the locker room as every football player went past, but no Jason. Deciding to be brave, she entered the locker room to look for him only to find him still in there, a towel around his waist from just getting out of the shower. An immediate blush and the urge to run overwhelmed her, but she remained where she was. She wanted her things. It took a minute for Jason to notice her but when he did, he smiled and grabbed her books from his locker. He handed them to her but when she tried to back away with them, he held on so she could not. She would either have to stand there and find out what he wanted, or let go of her books and take the chance with being suspended for not being prepared for class. She wanted her books. “Let go” she said in a weak tone. Jason did not let go and instead pulled her toward him until he could grab her. The motion caused her to drop her belongings on the wet floor and Jason let her go so she could pick them up. When she began to stand up again, Jason was standing in front of her, his towel on the bench beside him. “Touch it,” he said, Sarah only shook her head and began backing away. Before she could run, he had grabbed her again and wrestled her to the ground. Before she knew what was happening he was inside her. It did not last more than a few minutes, but in Sarah’s mind, it lasted forever. She struggled the whole time and tried to get away, screamed as much as she could before he clamped his hand over her mouth. When he was done, he got up and got dressed. Sarah just lay on the wet floor with her hands over her face so he could not see her crying. Before he left, Jason dropped her books on the floor next to her head.
It took a long time for Sarah to get off the floor and gather herself enough to walk home as calmly as she had left that morning. Nevertheless, she turned into a damn good actress until she was alone in her room and cried until she was numb. She feigned sick the next day and did not go to school, the first time she had ever done such a thing. When she did return to school, things were different. She became reserved in her classes and instead of sitting in or near the front, she moved to the back where people who sat behind her could not stare. Her grades were still exceptional, but her love for school began to fade. When graduation came around, Sarah could not have been happier to get out of Los Angeles. For the next four years, Sarah would be attending Columbia University across the country in New York City with a major in English and creative writing…or so she thought.
Her sophomore year of school, Sarah was walking home from a friend’s off-campus apartment on West 116th Street, when she got the eerie feeling that she was being followed. Too afraid to actually look over her shoulder and check, she just began to walk faster. The moment she rounded the corner to the campus she felt herself be pulled backward into an alley and tossed to the ground. Having been in the city for about two years, she learned to keep pepper spray with her and frantically searched her purse to grab a hold of it, but was not given enough time before she was pinned to the ground, knees hard on her chest making it difficult to breathe. She felt as if the past were repeating itself and for a flicker of an instant thought about just letting it happen, it would be faster if she did not struggle. She was not given the chance to begin putting up a fight before the weight was gone with a grunt and bodies banging against each other. Sarah sat up and adjusted her vision to see a campus police officer shoving the guy away from the alley and into the back of his car. Standing next to the car, cell phone in hand, was Sarah’s friend whose house she had just come from. She soon learned that she had forgotten her notes and her friend had followed her for a few blocks trying to catch up when she noticed the man closing in and called police. Still, the incident had shaken Sarah up a great deal and when she returned to her dorm later that night, she sat and stared at her ceiling for hours, unable to sleep. The next day she packed as much as she could carry and got a bus ticket for wherever. Sarah remained on the Greyhound until the end of the line, which happened to be Chicago, Illinois.
By the time Sarah reached Chicago, she was twenty years old, nearly twenty-one. For the next few years, Sarah tried starting anew; again by renting out an apartment and getting a job as a waitress just to get her feet on the ground. More recently, Sarah has saved up enough paychecks to begin taking a few classes at a local community college to hopefully further her degree in English and Creative Writing. She wanted to put everything that happened in her past behind her and just begin with a clean slate; unfortunately, it is not that simple. Sarah will no longer go anywhere at night by herself, and she now has a deep apprehension of the male gender. The events may be finished, but the after effects are not.
