“Do you know what it feels like...” “...to be the last one to know the lock on the door has changed?” He'd gotten a call today... It was his mother, doing her usual call in to see how he was doing. Of course bitter news came along closer to the middle of the conversation.. His father was dying of cancer. Now to most people.. they'd probably get all teary eyed, but it just pissed Eric off. The old man was going to take the easy way out, and leave Eric behind to linger in the soured memories. He wasn't going to do it.
He stared at the fountain for the longest time. The clearest memories he had of his father were still blurred by his teenage anger, the malice for his ruined sports career blinding him. He couldn't say he loved the man... he'd made Eric's teenager life hell, of course. He blinked his eyes to tear them away from the tinkling water dropletts and looked up at the sky... The dark clouds that had earlier been white were looming overhead, a promise of rain following like a shadow. He frowned and turned from the stone lining of the fountain's edge, and walked towards the outer edge of the park, hoping he could fume in silence.
But maybe that was what was wrong. In his mid twenties, he should be dating and having fun, but he was too carried away with holding grudges and teaching lessons in gym. He sighed softly, a tinge of remorse filling his throat as he swallowed his guilt and pride all at the same time. He needed someone he could talk to, which should have been his father... and his mother didn't understand, and she had enough worries.
He needed someone new.. a new start... Tag: Open… Word Count: 371 Status: Someone.. anyone... Lyrics/Song: “Do you know” by Enrique Iglesias

I don't wanna be the girl
who has to fill the silence hitting the lock button on the keys to her truck, she fiddled with her iPod until the headphones were neatly wrapped around it and then stowed it away in her pocket, right pocket, of course. her phone was already in her pocket, having not had a text in a while, surprisingly enough, it seemed as though her two friends back in texas had either finally figured out the rules of the school, or were plotting. god, she missed them. part of her was tempted to go get the guitar that was in the bed of the midnight nissan titan, but, she decided against it. instead, the blonde leaned against her truck, just looking around, pondering. looking into the park she shrugged, pushing herself off her truck with an easy sigh, she put her hands in her pockets and started walking.
she heard them before she saw them, felt them before they were there, sometimes, she hated her talent. hey there baby, what's a pretty girl like you doing out here all alone?
and in the middle of the day, wow. this boy either had a death wish, or a plan. muttering to herself in german, she shrugged his arm off her shoulder and kept walking, not even bothering to look back over her shoulder. but, she also knew that they were following her. she was on one of the quieter ends of the park, not really knowing where she was heading, either. i don't blame ya' for not wanting to hang with jake, but, c'mon. this one didn't touch her, at least, but, he was planning to. this time she stopped, any logical person would have run, like they taught all the girls back in 4th grade. but not `zona. turning around, she faced the two guys who all stood in their little group only a few paces behind her. she knew where she was now, near the fountain, concealed only by one row of trees and a bush. y'all sure you really want to try this? her bright eyes flickered at the prospect of a fight, she needed one. she also knew that two adults against one her was probably not the best idea though. holding her head high, she glared at them, her mind calculating each of their steps only a heart beat before they did it. damn, they were making this up as they went along, great. the one good thing about the odds was the fact that she was about as tall as both of them. but she knew one thing, this wouldn't end well for her if she stayed. ooc; word count ; 557 muse level ; fair. =] lyrics ; sober - p!nk[/blockquote][/blockquote]

“Birds flying south's a sign of change...” “... at least you can predict this every year.” Eric found himself glaring at his shadow as it faded, the boom of thunder in the distance reminding him that a downpour was coming. Well there went his day with nature. Sometimes he felt too inclined to the world of technology, and decided to relax in the wilderness of suburbia Chicago. He stared ahead as he rounded the corner, but the view of two rather menacing men standing next to the rather familiar blonde stole his attention.
She wasn't his student, but he knew her. Arizona Cassaway. A bit of a trouble maker, not afraid to throw a punch, but generally a decent person, or at least he thought so. She was pretty, and she had a lot going for her. Sometimes she seemed off though, but maybe it was just his mind on the moment.. in the moment.. Whatever. He crouched lower behind the bushes closest to them, staring over the edge barely. With his athletic stature, it wasn't hard to chill in a crouched position. Were they her friends? They looked a little old for her to be hanging with them, but nowadays you didn't know with teenagers... The girls would date guys in their 20's, thinking it promised a wedding...
Usually it was just a problem.
Eric knew guys all too well, and the way they were eying her swore to him their intentions were not of good meaning. He was half inclined to yell at them, but there were two of them. He'd not fought since two years ago, protecting his cousin from some jack ass who thought it would be cool to slap her around. He felt that anger from two years ago swell inside of him as one of the guys nodded to the other, both stepping forward for their attack. Why he hesitated, he didn't know, but he found himself unable to move for a moment.
Then, he was up, and charging full force at the pair who were going for the girl... Tag: ZONA! Word Count: 414 Status: FINISHED! Lyrics/Song: "Do you Know" by Enrique Iglesias

the quiet sc are s m ec au se it s cream s th e tru th she knew he was there, knew what he was planning. didn't turn. her green eyes flashed as one of the guys, jake, stepped towards her, his bushy brown hair covering the top of his face. her own blonde hair covered her left eye, but, she did that on purpose, odds are, this guy just wanted to look intimidating. ha, he looked like an over grown toddler. tilting her head to the side, she heard and felt it pop, man she needed a fight. jake stepped forward again, this time reaching out and pulling one of her hands out of her pocket, almost at the same time that she felt whoever it was that was hiding in the bushes start his plan, she had her hand wrapped around jake's arm and her foot planted dead in the center of his' chest. the other guy, she wasn't going to bother with, because now she saw who it was that had charged out of the bush.
eric hernandez, the sophomore coach or something. she looked back to jake as he fell to the ground, a glare in his eyes and she just stood there, arms crossed over her chest as she smirked at him. now he was pissed, and she would get to have a little fun. oh you bitch.
she didn't move, just kept her gaze steady on him, readin' through his actions, they weren't very complex, in all honesty, but they were effective. glancing back over to hernandez, she watched as the other guy scrambled away, yelling over his shoulder. c'mon man, it ain't worth it. arizona laughed under her breath and turned her head to look at the teacher, she knew who he was, sort of. having not gone here sophomore year, she hadn't ever been in his class, simply known of him around school. she hadn't been paying attention. that was always her downfall. a foot shot out and hit her smack on her knees. sending pain rippling through them and her toppling over backwards. if she hadn't been double jointed, she would have fallen forwards, but, she still hit the ground harder than she would have liked. it knocked the air from her lungs and left her rather dazed, world spinning around her. shaking her head, she watched as he smirked at her and then ran off in the oposite direction from them, off after his buddy. rubbing the back of her head, she sat up a little, coughing slightly to get the air running back through her lungs. hey, er, thanks. the last word was somewhat softer than the hey, but, that was only because of her pride. she wasn't one to apologise. ooc; word count ; 541 muse level ; on the mend lyrics ; p!nk - sober. “Love; you never know the minute it ends suddenly...” “... now I can't get to sleep..” The sound of her foot meeting the guys chest was still ringing in his ears as his own fist collided with solid bone in a face he didn't bother to look at. There was a yell of pain as the one hit the ground, his own opponent shreiking along with it, falling backwards. He didn't bother getting up to take a counter swing at Eric, but instead took off running, his lip busted and gushing, a visible swell on the left side of his face. His buddy wasn't so smart though.
He took a swipe at Zona with his leg, knocking her forward, and when Eric made a move to pick him up and beat him, he took off after his budy, holding his chest carefully.. Eric took a few steps after them, glad he'd gotten away with some bruised knuckles. He'd not nailed anyone that hard in a long time.. It was amazing what could happen in seconds.. Gripping his knuckles, he squeezed them gently and turned to look at Arizona.
She looked breathless, but otherwise was in good condition. He knelt next to her and blinked. "Are you sure you're okay?" he asked, giving her another look over before he tossed a glance over his shoulder. He winced as the throbbing in his right hand multiplied, but he didn't bother it much more, his hand hanging at his side. "So, I take it you don't know those guys... god something bad could have happened. We should probably get you back home.. somewhere safe.." He sighed softly and let his brow furrow.. Rain?
The next drop hit his cheek, and he instinctively reached for it, wiping it away with calloused fingertips. He sighed softly and shook his head.. "Or somewhere dry before we get soaked.. not that I entirely mind, but it is kind of chilly out here." His leather jacket was a soft brown color, contrasting beautifully with his faded/sandwashed jeans and doc martins. Adjusting his darkblue shirt underneath, he gave a glance at his hand, seeing the bruising, and then looked back at her. "Come on.. " he added, offering a hand to pull her up. please don't tell me that
we've had this conversation before `zona watched as hernandez walked towards her, kneeling beside her. Are you sure you're okay?
she watched him look over his shoulder and then answered. yeah, i'm fine. although, are you? she raised an eyebrow and aimed a pointed look at his hand. So, I take it you don't know those guys... god something bad could have happened. We should probably get you back home.. somewhere safe.. no, she didn't know them, technically, but, she could tell you where they were running, and each of their names. but, instead of getting into that, she just shook her head at the main question. tilting her face upwards when she felt the raindrop land on her shoulder she smiled, rain. a rare delicacy. they won't be back, if that's what you're thinking. her voice was soft, hinted with an italian accent. when it rained, she became a whole different person. letting her green eyes drift back over to him, she eyed him. leather jacket, faded jeans, deep blue shirt. hm. whereas she was happy in her dark jeans black and lime green striped shirt and simple black jacket-like hoodey. her letter jacket was still in the truck, to her, it hadn't been all that cold when she'd left. Or somewhere dry before we get soaked.. not that I entirely mind, but it is kind of chilly out here. great. back to school. go figure. she should have known that if a teacher had been the one to see the little episode with the two guys, much less participate in it, she'd be hauled back to school. 8/9 times, she was stuck in the counselor's office for the next week reflecting on the event. just what she was looking forward to. Come on. she looked at his hand hesitantly and then let him help her to her feet. crap her knees hurt. she knew it would look like she'd gotten into a fight with a baseball bat in the morning, but, whatever. it wasn't like she wore anything but jeans anyway. shaking her head, she stood there for a moment, letting her knees get used to holding her weight again, and then bent them a little to make sure he hadn't actually hurt her. he hadn't. 'ey, you're not going to, like, report me to the counselor are you? she asked, she wasn't going to move until he answered that one, she'd deny it if he did. crossing her arms over her chest in her most casual yet defensive stance, she watched him. ooc; word count ; 613 muse level ; fair =] lyrics ; p!nk - sober[/blockquote][/blockquote]

“Baby if I knew all the things to do to save us...” “... I'd fix this pain that's deep inside of me.” He rose with her slowly and watched her move her legs.. Well knees actually. She seemed tentative about their status, but she looked okay to him. He blinked up at her when she asked him if he was reporting her. Shaking his head, he laughed.. "What.. no.. It's the weekend.. I'm not telling anyone about this.. that's up to you.." He shook his head and turned to look at where they had gone.. "Wait.. Did you ask me if I'm okay?"
So he'd admit, he was a little off in a daze...
He nodded slowly.. "Yeah, I'm fine.. They better not come back either.. I'll kick their.." He paused to look at her, wondering if it was good to say the word in front of her or not. He decided against it and left his sentance as it had been.. He nodded and looked towards the parking lot. There were only a few vehicles there. He blinked. "Do you wanna get a bite to eat or something.. I don't mind paying.." He had money.. He really wasn't worried about it.
She didn't have to accept either.. It was just an offer.. Reaching up, he ran a hand through his hair, fluffing it a little, though there wasn't much to fluff.. He sighed and shook his head.. "Aye Dios Mio.." Of course, this meant "OMG" in spanish, but maybe she didn't know that. He inhaled through his nose, and lowered his hand, looking at her. "You wanna go or not.. I'm not going to force you to do anything.. you can go home.. stay here.. get rained on.. but I'm hungry.. and I think I may need some ice.." He shrugged at her expression, and went to walk towards his car, finding his keys in his pocket. Tag: Open… Word Count: 395 Status: FINISHED! i won't remember, save your
breath , c ause wh at 's th e us e watching as he laughed at her question, she tilted her head, she still wanted an answer What.. no.. It's the weekend.. I'm not telling anyone about this.. that's up to you..
she looked at him, studying his face, he wasn't lying. good. laughing slightly, she shrugged, thanks. because then she'd have to deal with both her parents and her half-sister. one of the joys of being related to staff. Wait.. Did you ask me if I'm okay? she nodded, had she just imagined asking that? or was he just a little mental? watching him slowly nod a response, she couldn't help but laugh when he replied. Yeah, I'm fine.. They better not come back either.. I'll kick their.. go on, say it, she mentally joked. following his eyes to the parking lot, she thanked the heavens that her truck was parked under a tree, that guaranteed her guitar would be safe for a little bit, at least until the wind switched directions, that is. Do you wanna get a bite to eat or something.. I don't mind paying.. she turned her gaze back onto him, raising an eyebrow. er. . . she normally would have said no, but, he had just pretty much saved her from a world of hurt. watching as he ran a hand through his short hair, she tilted her head just slightly to get her bangs to go where she wanted them, just to the side of her eye so that she would have full periphial vision. Aye Dios Mio.. what was he saying that for? or had she just miss heard him? You wanna go or not.. I'm not going to force you to do anything.. you can go home.. stay here.. get rained on.. but I'm hungry.. and I think I may need some ice.. shaking her shoulders, she shrugged. sure, why not. but then she heard him comment about needing ice, watching as he began to head for his car, she jogged after him, her converse making nary a sound. follow me for a sec, i need to get something out of my truck. she brushed past him just slightly and filched her own keys out of her pocket while walking. glancing over her shoulder, she checked to see if he was following or not and then allowed herself to let her pace pick back up to a jog. she was hyper now, adrenalin or just the fact that it was raining, she figured. she had the urge to do a roundoff, but decided against it, figuring it would look more like showing off or something. slowing to a stop when she reached asphalt, she glanced back over her shoulder again and then walked over to her truck, reaching into the back, she pulled her guitar out and hit the unlock button on the key. reaching out, she pulled the back door open and slid her guitar in, smiling. good, it was still completely dry. turning her back to her truck, she looked back over at hernandez, hey, do you want some ice? she had a first-aid kit that sky and tuna had given her right before she'd left proclivity, a joke aimed at her klutziness. ooc; word count ; 731 muse level ; the weather's nice, so excellent. =] lyrics ; p!nk - sober[/blockquote][/blockquote]

“I'm standing on the edge...” “... I don't know what else to give..” Eric stared at her for a second, not really sure how to react to her demand to follow him. He was used to the sophomores, who were more silent and good at listening then this. He blinked and took a few steps behind her before walking completely after her. She switched her guitar from the back to the front, and then locked it again.. or so he thought.. Maybe he'd mistaken the click for a lock..
"What?" He looked up at her, and eyed the first aid kit. Okay, so now she was going to help him. Fine. He nodded and held up his left hand for the catch, figuring she had one of those ice packs that you break for the cold to come out. He flinched as a drop landed on the bridge of his nose, and then stared at hit crosseyed for a minute before looked back at her. When he caught the pack, he let it rest on the top of his knuckles gently, the cool providing a little relief to his agony.. Well not that it was that bad.. but you know.
He figured they could just hit Dairy Queen or something. Unless she had something else in mind. "You pick.." he added, referring to the place they were going to go. He smiled softly and then looked around to his eclipse, watching the drops splatter against the shiny shell. It was a metalic green color, with lots of chrome.. Took him a while to get it all done up like he wanted, and he still needed a few grand to do his vinyl like he wanted. Finding the key on his key ring, he nodded towards his car and took a step towards it, checking to see if she was coming.
At least he'd done something good today. Not that he was going to go around bragging about it, or hold it over her head. He wasn't that big of an asshole. He pressed the unlock button and headed towards his side. He'd not noticed how pretty her eyes were.. or how "gifted" she was for a junior female. She had a nice body on her, athletic. He felt more like a pedifile thinking this though, and threw his attention away towards something else.. like his father, which made his blood boil again. Getting in, he pulled his seat belt across his chest and started the car.. Tag: Zona Word Count: 485 Status: FINISHED! Lyrics/Song: "Do you Know" by Enrique Iglesias

ah the night is calling? and it whispers
to me softly to come and play `zona couldn't help but be a little surprised when he actually followed, but when she popped the seat forward a little and pulled one of the little icepack things out of the first aid kit. What?
popping it, she tossed the thing at him, watching as he caught it and then rested it on his hand. ever since she'd broken her ankle back during freshman year, she'd never really gone anywhere without one. You pick.. pick. . . ? oh! food. duh. truly, she knew very little of the places around here, except for that pizza place back near the school. but, other than that, she was just the new kid again. watching as he found a key, obviously for his car, she kicked the door shut to the titan and then followed after him. heh, funny story. it's my first year in chicago, and so i don't really know of any food. . . she'd grabbed her letter jacket out of the truck when she'd gotten the icepack, so now, she pulled the black jacket on around her, the bright blue and lime-green P that was bright against the black over her left side. his car, she was guessing, was the metallic green eclipse, it looked different, but not bad. she could feel his eyes on her, but, other than that, she didn't really care. she'd lost her invisible edge already. for half a moment, she kind of wished she was her friend jamie, then at least she'd be able to read active thoughts, rather than just intentions. sliding into the passenger seat of the eclipse, she felt out of place. she was so used to trucks and such. . . not so much this. but, she wouldn't deny, it was a nice car. reaching behind her, she pulled the seat belt over her, and then looked down at her hands, clasped together on her lap, the vibe she was getting from the teacher was. . . not a bad one, just a strange one, it seemed almost like he was mad about something. but, she never tried to dig into people's personal lives, because that meant one thing, generally, they'd do it back at her. ooc; word count ; 507 muse level ; lowering because my dad had me doin' yard work. . . haha. lyrics ; p!nk - sober [/blockquote][/blockquote]

“How can I love you.. How can I love you?...” "... If you just don't talk to me babe...” He stared at the steering wheel until she got in and then he shut off his sound system, leaving it off for the time being. He wasn't going to bother her with nosy questions or make subtle demands as if he had some secret over her. It happened to people all the time, every day. He didn't have anything on her, not that he wanted anything on her anyways. He found himself wondering though, what she was like... what she did in her free time, and what she thought was fun. She seemed like an interesting person. He somewhat wished he could coach the older kids... but you never know.
Looking over the seats he backed out, and then looked over at her, shifting it into drive. He blinked. "So, do you get guys following you like that all the time, or was I just in the right place at the right time?" He added, trying to shove thoughts of his father out of his head. It was hard though, since all he ever had on his father were thoughts that made him angry, not to be angry at the man. Of course, he was his father, but the guy had ruined the majority of his life by being such an ass for those years Eric did play for high school.
He still had the scar on his knee... A dull reminder...
Turning onto the high way, he thought of going to the place he was always at... but that would be kinda boring wouldn't it? What if they went to that spanish place... what was it called again? La Hacienda? He blinked and looked over at her, thinking for a moment if he should ask her or if he should pick another place.. "Do you like Mexican food?" he asked, his hazel eyes on her face for a moment, studying her. I wish I knew more of the students... especially like Arizona... He shook his head and looked away, his nerves calming. Lately he'd been an emotional distaster.
He needed to calm down. Inhaling slowly, he steadied his hands on the wheel and focused on driving. The last thing he needed was to wreck with her in the car. Had to be focused. He gave a soft smile thinking about how he probably busted that guys lip and jaw good. It made him feel cocky, just a little, and he wished he could have gotten another hit in before he'd ran like a ....
He stopped at the silence as it registered to him, and he gave her a sideways glance. "I don't figure you're scared of anything.. but you don't have to be nervous around me... I'm just your average guy... trying to live life without screwing anything else up..." He muttered a few words in spanish, thoughts of his father coming back into his mind, and he glared at the road ahead. Bastard of a man was ruining him, literally! He paused, wishing for a moment that he was never mad at his father.. that things could be normal.. That he could love the old man..
So far, he didn't have anyone but his mother to love... Shaking himself from his thoughts, he tuned himself back into Arizona just incase she confirmed whether she liked spanish food or not, and stopped at the first light coming into the section of town where they were headed, not far from the school grounds. Wasn't a bad place to be in his mind... Tag: Zona Word Count: 676 Status: FINISHED! Lyrics/Song: "Do You Know" by Enrique Iglesias

ah i am falling, and if i let
myself go, i'm the only one to blame she noticed how he turned off the stereo, but didn't comment. already this school was different than her last, back in texas, the main times she ever was around teachers was when she wasn't skipping class or was in trouble. whereas, right now, she was neither in trouble nor skipping. looking out the window as he backed the car out, she turned her head when she heard him about to speak. So, do you get guys following you like that all the time, or was I just in the right place at the right time?
she actually hadn't even thought much about that. but then one thought came to her mind, wouldn't it be just wonderful for her family back in italy if she was out of the picture? then they wouldn't have to protect that ever so perfect image. oh, wait. . . she still had to answer that. . . heh, nah, usually people don't pay nearly that much attention to me. it was true, usually she enjoyed being out of the spotlight. looks like you were simply in the right place at the right time. . . leaning back in the seat, she glanced at him and then back out the window. that one nagging thought of the step-bitch kept coming back though, it wouldn't have taken much of her attention to just make a few calls to random people in chicago and see who all would go after one girl for a couple hundred bucks, hell, probably for twenty bucks. and their perfect family image would be so much better. no. her dad would never let her. . . Do you like Mexican food? tilting her head, she let her ivy gaze wander back to him. mexican food? hm. she hadn't had any good mexican food since the day she'd left proclivity. mexican food? her face held a soft grin. but, then she noticed that he wasn't going to answer at the moment, but, she also noticed that the angry vibe he had been giving off earlier was beginning to fade. I don't figure you're scared of anything.. but you don't have to be nervous around me... I'm just your average guy... trying to live life without screwing anything else up... looking at him with a slightly curious glint in her eyes, she pondered. scared? her? of what? i. . . i. . . er. . . i'm not nervous. . . besides, what do i have to be nervous about? at the last question, she actually did turn to look at him, questioning him. reaching up, she pushed her bangs out of her eye, and then glanced back out the window at the highway passing. but, er, mexican 'd be fine with me. her voice was a little quieter, she was thinking. . . not really about anything in particular for once, just thinking. ooc; word count ; 652 muse level ; fair. . . lyrics ; p!nk - sober [/blockquote][/blockquote]

“Do you know what it feels like...” "...Loving someone, the feeling rushing, threw you away...” Eric was quiet for another moment as she spoke what little she did. He felt like he did most of the talking that time. He tossed a glance at her as he turned towards the street his resturaunt was on. He gave her a smile and nodded, glad she'd agreed to his favorite type of food. In fact, he was good friends with the owner of the resturaunt.. He'd gone to college with. He stopped at the next light and looked at her for a second, turning his head a second later to look at the car beside him. Maybe he needed a drink or two.. He blinked.. "You have a license right?" he asked, deep hazel eyes flicking over her face for a second.
Excellerating at the light as it changed from red to green, he gave a small two fingered wave to a driver who waved at him, and then turned into the parking lot, immediately finding a parking place. It wasn't too busy today. He let the car run for a second, and gave her another long look, his eyes stuck on hers. "Because, I may get a few drinks and let you drive. At least I can sit in the car and doze for a while until I've sobered up or something." He needed to drink this father problem away right now. "Only if you have a license though.." he added with a careful tone, his eyes flickering to his ceiling in thought, and then back down to her where they rested even with her eyes.

nothing can touch me watching as he turned onto a different street, she rubbed the back of her neck with her hand. You have a license right?
she couldn't help but react to this one like she would to any other person asking an obvious question. nope, i just drive cross-country at the beginning of the year and i have a truck parked back at the park. her bright green eyes couldn't help but roll as she looked back over at him. yes, i have my license. why? watching the light change from red to green, she leaned back against her seat as the car sped through the light. she glanced out the wind shield as they pulled into a parking lot, she didn't recognise the name of the place, but she'd doubted she would. Because, I may get a few drinks and let you drive. At least I can sit in the car and doze for a while until I've sobered up or something. it was, at that moment of course, that burn it to the ground by nickelback blared out of her pocket. her eyes were stuck on him, a slightly cautious look in them, but, when she realised that it was her phone going off, she scrambled back to life. not even bothering to look at the caller id, she flipped the phone to her ear, call ya' back, sky. 2 hours. she waited for the immediate confirmation and then clicked the phone shut again, sliding it into her pocket. looking back over to hernandez, she shrugged. sorry 'bout that. . . and er. . . sure. she was fine with that, she had to do that job back in texas when sky would go out and get drunk, of course, never legally, but, they had a little secret weapon about never getting caught.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

“Do you know what it feels like?...” "... To be the last one to know the lock on the door has changed?” He couldn't help but give a chuckle at her sarcasm. Those were the students who he favored, the ones who had a sense of humor and weren't so serious all the time. The ones who dedicated their every breath to studying scared him. Why would you want to live like that? "Okay, good. It'll at least help me clear my mind. Thanks, by the way..." he added, finding a parking space at the back of the lot as they pulled into the parkinglot.
He felt a bit of a pervert thinking about her younger innocence. Of course then again, it was mostly an assumption. He didn't know if she'd lost that innocence or not. Surely with a body like that she hadn't. He almost yelled at himself for thinking that last thought as he locked his car, and walked beside her, focusing his eyes ahead to keep them off of her. If God knew, he'd probably have smited him right there for that horrible track of thought he just had. He opened the door of the mexican resturaunt and smiled at her, allowing her first entrance. Hey, this was his kind of day, minus the juvenile thoughts he had previously had.
Shaking his head, he finally nodded as the waiter asked if there were only two, and then followed him behind Arizona to their booth. He took the menu that was handed him, and then ordered a beer to start off. He'd learned he got rather frisky if he hit liquer first, or at least that's what he thought. He didn't need some sort of assult charge on his record, though he figured he had more control over his emotions than that. He smiled at her as the waiter left for their drinks.
"Sooo... What do you normally do for fun Arizona...?" Tag: Mrs. Arizona Word Count: 412 Status: Pm me... we have to plot further.. lol Lyrics/Song: "Do you know" by Enrique Iglesias, but I think I'm fixing to change it.
